I recently stayed at this magnificent 5-star hotel in Courmayeur, perfectly located to enjoy the best of the area. The property is brand new, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the comforts you would expect from a luxury hotel. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, the staff are courteous and professional, and the overall experience was truly top-class.
Because I have had the privilege of staying in many 5-star and luxury hotels around the world, I would like to offer one suggestion that I hope management will consider: separate the access management for the solarium and the gym from that of the spa.
At the moment, access to both the solarium and the gym is controlled by the spa, which, being small, understandably needs to limit the number of guests at any one time. However, this means that to simply sunbathe or use the gym, guests must go through the same booking process as for the spa and even sign a liability waiver. The result is that if a guest returns to the hotel in the afternoon and wishes to relax in the sun, they may find it impossible unless they have booked the spa, having to wait for an available time slot.
Furthermore, the current policy allows only one spa access per day. This means it is not possible, for example, to sunbathe in the afternoon and later use the spa at a pre-booked time, as this would count as two separate entries, which is prohibited. In my opinion, this unnecessarily restricts guest freedom and does not fully align with the comfort and flexibility expected at a hotel of this category. Especially the girl at the wellness center didn’even realize what was the problem. She needs to be trained a lot more.
I am confident that with separate, simpler access rules for the solarium and gym, the guest experience would be absolutely flawless.
That being said, I left with a wonderful memory of my stay and will...
Read moreStayed here for 4 nights over Christmas for a skiing vacation. I am reviewing this as a self-proclaimed 5 star hotel, which it is not. Pros: modern, new, clean hotel. The small pool/sauna/steam room are lovely (book in advance), breakfast is excellent, nice bar, the food in the restaurant was very good, there is ski storage. Shuttle drivers are probably the most helpful of all the staff. Cons: lots of staff usually just chatting at reception, not particularly helpful which is unprofessional. They can identify a problem without finding a solution. I found the rooms small, no bath in the bathroom, very warm in the bedroom (doesn’t matter what temperature you set the thermostat at the room stayed at 22.5 degrees C). Yes, you can open the window but it’s pretty loud outside. The water bottles offered on arrival in the room were never replaced. The smell of incense from reception permeates the entire hotel. So many restaurant staff; very helpful but quite useless. The bar is VERY expensive. Please be aware that the hotel has a shuttle (that you have to call for and hope they’re not busy) BUT IT DOES NOT SERVICE THE COURMAYEUR CABLE CAR, only the Dolonne cable car. If your skis are stored in Courmayeur, you are walking. The hotel is outside of the city and not convenient to walk to. Please keep this in mind. In my opinion, it should not be classed as a 5 star hotel. If it was a lower star hotel, id give it a higher review. There are other options in the town to...
Read moreI reached out to your establishment seeking assistance, but the experience was incredibly disappointing. Over the course of six calls, GRETA from reception repeatedly hung up on me, showing a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.
When I finally requested to speak with the Manager on Duty, Mr. Nando “Ferlano” responded. Instead of addressing my concerns, he immediately instructed me to send an email without even understanding the nature of my request. When I pressed him to clarify what my issue was, he admitted he didn’t know. Moreover, when I asked for his full name, he outright refused, dismissively stating that the reception was “very busy” and that other guests were waiting.
I had initially called with the intention of making a booking, but this experience made it clear that your customer service does not meet even the most basic standards of professionalism or hospitality. As a result, I decided to take my business elsewhere.
This approach to customer service and guest relations is appalling and completely unacceptable. It reflects a lack of respect for customers and a disregard for professional standards. I strongly urge management to address this serious issue, as this kind of behavior not only discourages potential customers but also damages the reputation of your...
