Crème et chocolat — Restaurant in Courmayeur

Echoing what other reviews mentioned - the service quality was abysmal. I dared to order cortado to which in a response I was very promptly and rudely corrected that there's no such thing and I should rather order in English. Took me a while to realize that while I was ordering in English the issue was with using the term "Cortado" instead of "Caffè Macchiato". I am very happy such a significant mishap was corrected, especially in a place serving a coffee of the highest quality - Lavazza - roasted to the crisp just as any proper coffee should be. The service wasn't much more forthcoming when we asked whether we could open one of the umbrellas for a little bit of shade. The ice cream was ok-ish though.

Do yourself a favor and make yourself a coffee in a moka pot at home, you can drink it straight from the stove and it will still be less hot then the milk foam they will...

This is the worst experience I have ever ever had. Usually I never write reviews but I would like to warn people- Never go here for icecream.

My husband is allergic for peanuts and after ordering the caramel gelato he noticed after the first bite there were peanuts in the icecream (who even puts peanuts in caramel icecream?!). After telling the staff, they just took the icecream away without offering a new one. When we asked for one additional scoop, we got a new cup (which fills two scoops) we got a full cup and had to pay the full price (instead of 1 scoop). We just paid and left, but felt scammed. One of the best Gelateria/Pasticceria I've ever been to. The ice cream is super delicious, the flavor variety great. They make the most incredible pieces of art with ice cream and chocolate. They chocolate cover ice cream as one of their desserts. Extremely tasty and almost to beautiful to eat. The owner told us about the art and what patience this takes.
