Bar Vineria Walser — Restaurant in Courmayeur

One of the worst places one can encounter in Courmayeur. There’s nothing genuine about it. Small, noisy place, mediocre food, overpriced beverages. I ordered a specific wine knowing the producer and its value. They brought me the same wine but form a totally different producer whose wine retails at one third of the price of the previous one. In the end, the price was however the same as the more valuable one. I complained and they threatened to call the Police. I am on holiday and have no time to waste with these specimen of underhuman refuses. But I warn everyone m to stay away...

Terrible experience at this restaurant. We made a reservation in person the day before and when we went for dinner they claimed someone called and cancelled in our name. It was obvious that they had actually just given up our table. Leaving us with no place to go in Courmayeur at 9.00pm where, if you know the town, impossible to find a place to eat without a reservation in peak season. Great place to discover Aosta (and Italian) wines. True pleasure to discover wine bar in potentially tourist place who are actually passionate about wine. The mixed cheese/jambon platter I had was also excellent. Strongly recommend to anybody who actually cares what they have in their glass.
