Hotel Lo Scoiattolo — Hotel in Courmayeur

situated in a convenient location, within 5-10 mins walking distance from the bus terminal (though a bit of up slope walking, but that applies to every hotel here as the bus terminal is at the bottom of courmayeur valley)|- the proximity of town centre from the hotel |- yet is relative quiet|- crucial for me as a solo traveller depending on public transport|- a quaint hotel, size not big but the owners and staff tried the best to provide a comfortable stay |- had stayed in a single room, and the size is adequate, with a spacious bathroom and a nice balcony (facing the road, and also the snow mountain, sound of birds in early morning, sound of cars i day time, )|- i particularly like the adjustable room temperature, and no carpet in the room|- the bed and the duvet are very comfy, and the pillow is made of memory foam and latex, a welcoming and essential arrangement for people having problems on the neck and spine. (my deepest appreciation! my first time having such a hearty arrangement )|- the ventilation fan in the bathroom run very quietly|- the deco of the room is practical, partly modern and retaining antique taste (that met my preference)|- water boiler available in the room|- a nice touch with a little piece of valrhona chocolate as the welcome gift|- the wellness centre is an absolute treat. booking of private sessions, and so nice that it can be booked all day long, unlike most other hotels. there is a sauna and a very special jacuzzi with multiple functions (i really love it and wish to hang out in the little pool all day long!)|- breakfast with reasonable variety, and eating in the restaurant facing scenic view from large glass window|- no luck to try the dinner as the restaurant was closed for dinner due to the end of the season|- the staff are extremely helpful and attentive, providing much information even before arrival. - e.g. One day, I had booked the wellness centre at 1400 hours then went skiing. When driving me to the gondola, the driver (I suspected he is the manager or the owner) reminded me of no shuttle bus during 1245-1400 hours, and asked if I have to change the wellness booking time. (I told him I had planned to walk back - its around 15mins without ski boots to all hotels - I brought my shoes to be placed at either the ski shop or the mountain station). |- The attentiveness and hospitality of the staff (including but not only him) is very much appreciated. thank you so much!|- had enjoyed the stay very much and would like to stay again on...

Lo Scoiattolo Hotel in Courmayeur couldn't be better! ||Since the moment we arrived we were welcomed with the best service you can ask for. ||||The personnel at the front desk were very helpful and kind, offering to book tables at local restaurants and recommending places to visit. ||||The amenities are spectacular, the Spa is unbelievable and they also have a room where you can store your skies, boots and more. ||||The location is just perfect, you are not in the middle of the main area of Courmayeur so you get to enjoy the silence at night but you are 2 minutes away from everything i.e. restaurants, bars, shopping and also 15 min walking distance to the Lifts to the Mountains. They also offer a free shuttle service to and back from the Mountain if you don't want to walk. ||||Last but not least, Giampiero at the Breakfast area was very kind and and helpful as well, I needed a Lactose-Free milk and on the very next day I found it on the table waiting for us. Every morning welcoming everyone with a smile and a good "Buongiorno Signori!" - what else can you ask for? ||The food was, as you expect in Italy, spectacular. ||||5/5 from us.||||Can't wait...

3 διανυκτερεύσεις στο ξενοδοχείο Lo Scoiattolo στα τέλη Φεβρουαρίου 2018.||Εντυπώσεις......||Πολυ καλή τοποθεσία στο κέντρο του μικρού Ιταλικού χωριού Κουρμαγιερ.||Πολυ κοντά σε όλα.....200 μέτρα από τον σταθμό λεωφορείων ....200 μέτρα από τον κεντρικό δρόμο του χωριού όπου βρίσκονται τα περισσότερα εστιατόρια,bars,super market και μαγαζία.||Το ξενοδοχείο επίσης προσφέρει δωρεάν μεταφορές στα ski lifts που είναι μόνο 5 -10 λεπτά δρόμος μακρυά με αυτοκίνητο.||Απλά τους λέτε όταν ειστε έτοιμοι να φύγετε μετά το πρωινό σας και σας πάνε δωρεάν με μικρό λεοφωρειο στο ski lift base.||Και στην επιστροφή τους παίρνετε τηλέφωνα ότι ειστε έτοιμοι να γυρίσετε και έρχονται και σας παίρνουν.....||Μικρό cosy ξενοδοχείο με πολυ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό προσωπικό.||Το δωμάτιο ήταν μοντέρνο,άνετο και πολυ καθαρό....||Το δωμάτιο ήταν family room για 4 άτομα με διπλό άνετο κρεβάτι και ντουζ τουαλέτα στο ένα επίπεδο και στο attic space υπήρχαν 2 μόνα κρεβάτια .....||Το attic space ενδείκνυται πιο πολυ για παιδιά που ταξιδεύουν με την οικογένεια τους μιας και το ταβάνι είναι αρκετά χαμηλό ...απλά ενημερωθείτε για το δωμάτιο σας πριν επισκεφτείτε επικοινωνώντας με το ξενοδοχείο..... στο να μην τύχετε εκπλήξεων .||Παρόλα αυτά όμως ο χώρος ήταν άνετος γενικά ....και είχε ότι χρειάζεται κανείς για να περάσει ένα άνετο και ξεκούραστο βράδυ ακόμα και αν επιλέξει να μείνει μέσα....||Τό λο σκηνικό ήταν πολυ cosy.||Το δωμάτιο επίσης είχε αρκετά μεγάλο μπαλκόνι με πολυ όμορφη θέα τα χιονισμένα βουνά .||Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολυ ζεστό μιας και υπήρχε τεράστιο καλοριφέρ που παρόλο έξω ήταν χιόνι παντού μέσα στο δωμάτιο ήταν πολυ ζεστά και άνετα ....σε βαθμό που κάποια στιγμή χρειάστηκε να κλείσουμε την θέρμανση .||Το μπάνιο ήταν μοντέρνο και καθαρό .....μόνη ένσταση ότι το νερό στο ντους δεν ήταν ιδιαίτερα ζεστό όταν χρειαζόσουν να κανεις ένα ντους....και επίσης ότι το ντους ήταν αρκετά μικρό.||Το ξενοδοχείο πρόσφερε πρωινό στην τιμή και οφείλω να ομολογήσω ότι ήταν εξαιρετικό μιας και είχε σχεδόν τα πάντα .....ότι χρειάζεται κανείς για το πρωινό του .....από απίστευτες επιλογές καφέ ....φρεσκο χυμό πορτοκαλιού μέχρι βρασμένα αυγά στην προτίμηση σας.....scrambled eggs ....bacon....αλλαντικά ...τυριά ....μαρμελάδες....κρουασάν ....ψωμάκια.....cereal......μέχρι και φυσική κερυθρα!!!!||Ιδιαίτερη μνεία πρέπει να κάνω στο προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου και ειδικά στην Giorgia στην Federica και στον Tony που έκαναν ότι μπορούσαν να κάνουν την διαμονή μας ξεχωριστή .||Κάθε πρωί χαμογελαστοί και εγκάρδιοι μας βοηθούσαν με την οργάνωση της ημέρας μας.....όπως στο να βγάλουμε εισιτήρια για το ski lift μέχρι προτάσεις για ποτό και φαγητό.||Κάθε βράδυ επίσης το προσκοπικό μας έφερνε μικρές σοκολάτες στο δωμάτιο μας όταν γυρίζαμε σαν ένδειξη “we appreciate your stay ....you are welcome here”||Γενική εντύπωση .....πολυ καλή.....ευχαρίστως θα ξανά μέναμε εκεί πάλι αν επισκεπτόμαστε το Κουρμαγιερ.....το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα.....||Ευχαριστούμε ιδιαίτερα την Ιταλίδα Giorgia που μας έκανε να αισθανθούμε σαν στο...
