Recently visited this Italian cafe, and to be honest, I was left disappointed. The service was surprisingly bad. The senior waiter in a burgundy waistcoat was clearly not in the mood - rude, unfriendly and did not care at all about our requests.
The most unpleasant thing - we were not even offered to sit inside, even though it was cold outside. We had to sit and freeze even though there were free seats in the cafe.
The food was ok, but clearly not worth the inflated prices they ask for. In the end, instead of a nice dinner, we got a spoilt mood and the feeling that we paid for something more than this establishment has to offer.

The quality of food was not quite up to par with the other restaurants we have been to in Italy and France, but still pretty good. The cover charge of €3.50 is out of step to the poshness of the establishment. Perhaps they are trying to prevent someone from occupying a table all day while nursing a glass of wine or beer, but if that is the case they can forego the cover charge if the total of the bill is over €70, as was our case. It is a trifling amount but left a bad taste...
