La Casa di Annusca — Hotel in Florence

Had five days here in Sept 2015. On arrival I thought I had the wrong place. Walked through the street level door and thought it was a run down building. But once the owner (Fabio) opened for us and took us into the apartment it was wonderful. We had the room facing out on to the street which was spacious and had good en suite facilities. Wifi included and more importantly a comfortable bed. Room cleaned every day by Fabio himself. We were made thoroughly welcome and would recommend Casa di Annusca||A word on Fabio. Speaks good English. Very helpful and friendly. A thoroughly nice man. ||Breakfast was served in Fabio's own apartment on the ground floor which feels a little weird initially but it worked well. ||Hotel located south of the river and away from all the tourist traps which appealed to us. Would recommend this place without hesitation. Nice little restaurants nearby and in the Piazza Santo Spirito. Trattoria Boboli was one we went to a coupe of times. I trusted the ratings and booked there. The place was dirty from the central entrance to the rooms. One guy (the only guy there) was moping with a bucket full of dirty water. On the bed, the linen and the bed sheets where not changed from the previous resident. The communication with the owner was horrible. The pictures of the garden are showing something else. The key locks of the doors were from the previous century, I didn't feel any safety leaving there my stuff with the central door of the building left open and strange people getting in and out all the time. Tottaly unprofessional and I really wonder how the rate is that high. The price and the pictures have nothing to do with the real thing. We just left the room and the guy charged us 135€. Hopefully we found a 4 star hotel next to the main bridge on the river with almost the same price. People...

The b&b is located in a calm area in Santo Spirito, where you can enjoy a good night sleep while still close to the busy bars area.|The room are charming with authentic style giving you the chance to travel back in time. The furniture is nicely picked for each theme, and the doors are in fact beautiful paintings.
