My husband and I have traveled a fair amount in Europe and this in fact was the sixth place that we have stayed on this trip alone. You can check back on my prior reviews to see that I consistently give very positive reviews. Unfortunately, I cannot give a positive review for Ducamani Prestige. The photos, although accurate, misrepresent this place. I would stay in the Port area if I came to Napoli again. If you chose to stay here be very careful with your room selection as the room we were in had a window but it opened into some type of a shaft. Please look at photos I posted as true representation of this property. Yes, that is the front door and the large flight of stairs that lead to the units. There is also a photo of the view from the window that I mentioned. The kitchen area is about the size of a small closet and not very clean. The walls could all do with a paint job. The streets in the immediate vicinity are very dirty. I am not sure if anyone ever empties the large trash cans that are on the street so they overflow...
Read moreMaria, the host, is really helpful. She'll give you the most important tips about Naples. The room itself was quite decent. There was no information on the site that you can prepare a small meal on your own in a tiny kitchen or simply have a cup of tea or coffee. This is definitely an asset. The area around is definitely an essence of traditional Naples so you can easily experience the views, sounds and even smells of italian streets. But... unfortunately it is really loud at night so I don't recommend travelling with a kid. Breakfasts included, there was a small bistro in the corner which served excellent coffee and wide selection of pastries, for free for the guests of decumani. Coffee there was seriously the best in the world. What I would improve in this location is the duvet or warmer blanket on such huge bed because I wasn't very comfortable in November...
