Bar Schlemmer — Restaurant in Naples

SCAMMERS !We got scammed with a double payment. While I realised that the payment went through the old guy at the till continued to insist that the payment didn't go through and if it did I would get a refund. He then cleverly changed the card machine knowing I was a tourist and charged me another 22 euros from that. As per my credit card statement the 1st charge went through with the merchant name Bar Schlemmer and the 2nd one went through with the merchant name Zettle mario. Now because of this my credit card company wouldn't have realised as a duplicate payment and honoured both.

Today I called to check if they realised this and if they could initiate a refund or pay me through IBAN transfer. They've defined to do both. Inspite of repeated requests they disconnected my call.

Response the reply by the owner Response 1: your response tries to turn my story on its head. Classic tactic scam businesses like you use. I don't think you get it. I am a tourist and I was leaving naples the next day of this issue happening. Ofcourse i would have come the next day if I was still there in Naples. Also automated refunds happen when a duplicate payment happens on the same merchant name. However since you guys are seasoned scammers you cleverly changed the Card machine after the 1st payment went through. By doing this you registered the same 22euro payment to two different merchant names. By doing this you made sure that the payment went through and you were aware that since I'm a tourist I am most likely to not come back.

If you had the slightest bit of concern and if you were genuinely not scammers you would have agreed to refund me when I called you on the 7th October asking to pay on my bank account. However realising that your scam has successfully gone through you hung...

We had really delicious cofees, meals and drinks at Bar Schlemmer several times during our recent vacation in Naples as it was very close to our apartment. This relaxed family run cafe / lunch and drinks bar was our oasis in Naples located in a small piazza in Centro Storico. The owner/manager Marco, his family and employees were very friendly and helpful to us. Breakfasts and coffee there are 10/10, with excellent Neapolitan coffee and pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. We felt spoiled. Lunch and snacks and drinks are very good and the price value is as good as we could find anywhere in Naples. Great place to go for breakfast or a meal or drink all day and night. We will return to Bar Schlemmer as soon as we return to Naples, Grazie Mille! Marco...

I just had one of the best cappuccinos ever at Bar Schlemmer in Naples. I won’t call myself a connoisseur however I have tried countless caffès in Rome, comparing their cappuccini. Here in Naples I’ve tried 3 so far and this one is the best. The coffee brand, Tico, is roasted to perfection, producing a robust but not overpowering flavor with a mellow acidity.
