Our trip was with British Airways City Breaks, and unfortunately there had been some confusion in the booking and we were unable to stay in the hotel on our original booking. We were taken in by Enzo (the owner) without any fuss at all and he immediately made us feel at home! || At first we were a little taken back as it was down a side street (which if you know Naples - are not always the loveliest of places for first time visitors) eventually we realised it was a great little spot. The location was absolutely excellent - right next to a super market and opposite the ferry to Capri as well as tram/bus stops, and just 2 minutes from University subway station. || The rooms were perfectly clean and spacious, we had a little kitchenette as well which was an added bonus as we were originally booked into a hotel. The building is very secure which was a relief also. Enzo went above and beyond everything he needed to do, we had a lovely breakfast in the mornings from him and coffee/drinks as often as we liked. He also arranged a taxi for us back to the airport.|| Perfect little base if you are looking to come to Naples to explore the real side of the city and experience the madness that it offers! Would recommend to anyone and we will be...
Read moreArrived at our accommodation late as there was a mix up through no fault of Marina B&B. Enzo our host made us feel very welcome. We had large clean rooms with cooking facilities and a fridge, which was topped up daily with fresh juice and breakfast. Enzo brought us a fresh warm custard filled croissant each morning and lovely italian coffee! He did everything he could to make us feel as at home as possible, even staying up late to make sure we got home safe from Positano one day and advising us on places to go and where not to go as we were a group of 4 girls. He arranged cheap taxis for us through his friends and sat out with us on the deck and had drinks etc. All this came at an extremely reasonable price! The place was absolutely fine for our long weekend, the location couldn't be better really - ferry, trams, underground, taxis, supermarkets and coffee bar are all within 2 mins walk. Do not expect a quiet tranquil break staying here, in fact do not come to Naples at all if you are after a quiet tranquil break, that is not what the city is about! Marina B&B allows you to experience the real Naples and the real craziness and of course the beautiful food, people and weather that come...
Read moreFor starters, the b&b was incredibly difficult to find on car in a very busy street of Naples, as it is on a side street with no car access. The side street itself is disgusting, there was feces strewn all around it when I finally found the place. After I manage to find my way up, I am greeted by a shifty looking host who communicated with me via unenthusiastic grunts and very poor English and wasn't even sure if I'd paid already through Expedia. Then came the ordeal of parking. The "free" parking listed through Expedia is on a second floor which has to be accessed via car lift, which only the host has control of. And I say "free" because there was a charge of 10€ per day for use of the lot. Now onto the rooms. The rooms are decently large and fairly clean, but the fridge, stove, and even shower head were broken. Overall it was a pretty bad experience, and I would not return to...
