BEIGE ET BLE' Guest House — Hotel in Rome

This guest house was an amazing find. We stayed for 3 nights in this incredible location, just above Giolitti. Simone very kindly received us and explained everything we needed to know. I can't emphasize enough how close everything is by foot from here. It's extremely close to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the north side of the river (Vatican, etc). Everything worth seeing in just 4 days was not further than 25 min by foot. We never used the metro or taxi, there was simply no need. Of course it helps that Rome is mostly flat, so it's very easy to go everywhere. The breakfast at Giolitti (right next door) was the cherry on top of the cake, I mean, the Cornetto on top of the cappuccino. Excellent traditional roman breakfast, with delicious Cornetto (croissant in Italian) and "il Vero Capuccino" (the real cappuccino). It's not the usual abundance of buffet hotel breakfasts but it was well enough for the whole morning. Also, it has delicious ice cream (try the pear and strawberry flavors). The room has great taste in the decoration, it feels like new, the bathroom is great and the bed is extremely comfortable (exactly what you need after walking lots of Km a day). Also, very good Wi-Fi and there's a smart TV as well. There's an elevator inside the building that can carry 2 people and baggage. There can be lots of people in the street at night (which helps to feel safe) but the windows are very well isolated. When closed, you can't hear anything from outside. Posizione buona, accanto a Montecitorio e a pochi passi da via del Corso. |Tuttavia, l’ascensore si raggiunge solo dopo aver percorso una rampa di scale. Questo non lo trovate scritto da nessuna parte. Preciso che l’ascensore è molto angusto, sicuramente non adatto per chi non ama gli spazi chiusi e piccoli.|Nella nostra camera “Orione” la manutenzione è carente: la porta del bagno è scrostata in basso e chiude a fatica essendosi gonfiata per l’umidità; il soffione centrale della doccia é completamente pieno di calcare per cui l’acqua schizza in orizzontale anziché in verticale ed è praticamente inutilizzabile (noi per fare la doccia abbiamo usato il doccino che era meno intasato di calcare); dalla tazza del wc viene un sentore di pipì che hanno cercato di camuffare con un deodorante per water ma con poco risultato; il vetro della doccia è incrostato e mal sigillato per cui esce acqua che allaga il pavimento. Nella camera il tappeto é pieno di macchie e nn sembra passato con un aspirapolvere.|Gli infissi e anche la porta non isolano per nulla e si sente qualsiasi rumore: sia quello provenienti dalla strada che quelli provenienti dalla sala comune della struttura. Noi siamo stati a gennaio in bassa stagione e non c’erano troppi turisti, nonostante ciò fin oltre le 23 si sentiva il vociare, ma suppongo che d’estate sia impossibile dormire.|La temperatura della camera è vincolata a 19 gradi. |Le camere della struttura sono ospitate in un palazzo e una mattina alcuni vicini hanno iniziato a martellare alle 8. When we arrived we used the bathroom and all the taps of the drains was closed when we open it all the room was smelling really bad from the drains we was staying at Hydra room and if you want to use this room you can't cause the smell of the drains was really horrible The breakfast was too poor but the lady who served us was really kind .

P.s : the cleaning of the room wasn't good all the walls was dirty and they didn't change us...
