A day before our arrival, I got sent an email with the details: our apartment number and the password to enter the house. Check in was possible starting 2pm. ||I got there the next day. It's a 12 minute walk from Termini station, which has a train running directly from the airport. The neighborhood is very isolated on the weekends and rather dirty. The good thing is that there are various buses driving to the city and the bus stop is right in front of the apartment, but anyway the apartment is not in a very good location.||The key was left at the reception with a post-it note containing my name and apartment number. ||Giovanni, which is the owner of the apartments I would guess, was almost never around. We contacted him via whatsapp with the provided phone number because we wanted to leave one luggage here since we spent three days in Paris in between our two stays at dalmati house. We were able to leave it in the room after our first check out. ||The bed is awesome and very comfortable.|The room is dark but there are enough lights installed. It's a comfortable room. The air conditioning works well.|||The thing that really messed it up for us was the bathroom. There is a terrible smell coming from the shower plug hole. The whole bathroom smells like feces all the time. The shower box is extremely small, it's difficult to bend over to wash your legs and feet and there's mold on the glass. The bad shower quality and smell really took a lot of comfort away from our stay here, that's why I can only give it an average rating. ||Overall we are thankful for the good service...
Read moreI would award this B&B a 5 star if the arrangements leading up to our stay was not a bit frustrating (I'll spare the details). Besides the reservation process, our stay was very positive. We were able to arrange a pickup from the airport. Since we didn't have a phone we had a hard time finding our driver. However, the information desk at the airport was able to help us contact the driver at no cost to us. It cost us €45 to get from the airport to the B&B. We checked in with Allessio who was kind and helpful. He situated us with our room and provided us with accoutrements to get started with our mini kitchen. The room is clean and right near a station that you can take to the Colosseum. 4 women showering meant limited hot water. We tried to conserve our use to share the hot water. We took what we called "developing country" showers aka we didn't let the water run too long in order to conserve. We went to one of the local spots to get happy hour drinks and snacks, there is a market nearby where you can get your groceries. The location was clean and felt safe. Wifi was spotty, but who needs it when you're on vacation? Our electricity went out on check-out day, but who knows if this is a regular occurrence. We stayed in the lower quarter where one bed is a pull out couch and the other is a bed. The closest is huge and generally so is the living space. It's an open floor plan so your bed, kitchen and table are all in one space. This may not be the place for you if you would like to be closer to the city. I would definitely stay here again. ...
Read moreSpent +10 days here and was delighted with the location of this lodging. While it is away from center city, it is only a short walk from Termini Train Station (or about £5.50 by taxi) and is easily accessible by buses 492 and 71. There is also plenty to see and do right near the lodging. We spent 8 or our 10 dinners eating within walking distance (10 minutes max). The lodging itself is very cozy. The room is a beautiful white & wood combo that creates the feeling of openness. Closing the shutters shuts you off from the world if you need a nap mid-day. As a person with asthma I was a bit bothered by the air conditioner in my room as it pointed directly at the top of our wardrobe which was covered in dust. However with a chair you can change the airflow direction. Furthermore there was a horrible smell coming from the bathroom drain and the lighting was a bit off in our room, and even after asking our 3 missing light bulbs were never replaced. Thankfully the man who owns the building is wonderfully helpful yet very busy! He speaks English and can help with questions and concerns however his staff understands no English so important concerns must wait until he returns to the main office. Overall I greatly enjoyed my visit and will certainly be looking to...
