Hello, I’ve visited this hotel recently and I wish I had as many good things to say about it as I do with the bad things.
When we first arrived, our room wasn’t properly cleaned: the floor was sticky and we couldn’t walk through an entire area of the room because of it. When our air conditioner was turned on it started dripping, losing a very considerable amount of liquid. We then notified the guy from the reception and they just turned our air conditioner off. But since the temperatures in Rome, as one can imagine, are absolutely crazy we always had to run to the reception and tell the personal to either turn our air conditioning on or off. It was working but it was way too cold in comparison to the other rooms. The water often went under our door and even reached the steps outside of the room. In addition to that, in a room of ours, money was stolen . The woman from the cleaning service offered fresh towels every day, which was nice BUT we told her everyday not to enter our room as well and therefore not to clean it. It happened anyway. Valuable things had to be carried around with us. The streets outside of the hotel were also questionable, especially in the evening or at night time. Many strange looking men and women walking around. I do not recommend walking around alone at night. We also didn’t really have a window with a tiny bit of a view. We had a little square on the upper third of our wall through which it was even difficult for the sun to come through.
Otherwise it was okay. The personal at the reception and at breakfast was very nice. The location is pretty good as well: the Colosseum is about 30 minutes away on foot and the area is filled with many food spots. Also there is a water dispenser about 200m from it. Breakfast was decent too. Not too much variety but...
Read moreAfter reading all the negative reviews I’m really glad my flight was cancelled and I didn’t have to stay there. However I need to contribute with my “virtual” experience. When I discovered my flight to Rome was cancelled due to italian airports strike (july 15 - the day of the scheduled flight from Paris) I immediately tried to contact the hotel. I made at least 20 calls to the number advertised on Hotel’s website but no answer. I’ve also written two emails and the answer came from an EX-WORKER who’s contact mail was written in my booking confirmation. How the hell can you call yourself a hotel if you’re absolutely incapable of providing those basic requirements? Not to mention they charged me the 25% price penalty the day BEFORE my arrival :D This hotel is fu€king nightmare and I hope it gets...
Read moreThe moment I entered the room I’ve noticed some dark hair on the bed and on the bathroom floor! Absolutely disgusting! The promised room I had to have was with a view - the only view I had when I opened my window was the area where they throw the garbage! Room close to the reception therefore very noisy! Smell of mold in the whole room, impossible to ventilate the room! There was no wifi in the room! Way too expensive for what you get! The hotel is close to the train station therefore it’s not the safest area but for being a young girl on herself I did not face any problems during my stay. There are pretty good restaurants near the hotel and it’s not far from the city center. The staff was nice but that’s it! I definitely do not recommend this place! You can find something better...
