This is the coziest restaurant that I have seen in a long while. The surroundings create a very authentic Italian atmosphere that will keep your eyes wandering and busy while you're waiting for your dinner. During the evenings the place fills up with local couples and families, so you can enjoy dining with Italians, no tourists at all!
The food is delicious from start to finish. The menu selection is very extensive, so on our first visit, we just asked the waiter to surprise us with some traditional meals, and he did, and even asked the chef to prepare something special for us! I really loved the desserts, particularly the pistachio torta, which was absolutely delicious and soft, just melting in your mouth.
On our second visit, we ordered some famous Italian tasters: the buffalo mozzarella, and a plate of mortadella sausage with pistachios. Then, we continued with a veal steak and ravioli with truffle sauce "Pinsa e Buoi". The latter was fantastic, and very likely the best ravioli I have ever eaten. Delightful, and full of flavor. To finish, we had panna cotta, which was beautifully presented on a plate, and tasted just as good!
I must give a special mention to our waiter on both occasions. I didn't catch his name, but you can recognize him by the way he presents every dish - by singing a famous melody, such as Beethoven's 5th, or the 20th Century Fox tune. He was very pleasant, with good humor, and helped us choose our meals. At the end of our visit, when it was raining outside, he didn't hesitate to call a taxi for us.
Absolutely great restaurant & skilled staff that knows how to make a customer feel welcome. You have to visit this next time you...
Read moreSuch a weird one. although, reading all of these previous comments it really does make sense.
you walk in and it feels posh, exclusive, maybe a bit dated? You notice countless pictures of the owner with various celebrities from the 90s on the wall. it was Wednesday night and my girlfriend and I were one of the only people in the restaurant, the menus are expansive, complicated and whilst traditionally roman probably not as foreigner friendly. But the problem isnt really the food, it was the waiter, we had a guy who looked like charles bronson who behaved strangely, stared at us vacantly and told us that he didn't have the ingredients to make various things on the menu. we asked for a caprese salad one of the most basic things on the Italian menu to be told they didnt have it and he tried to get my girlfriend a mixed salad then pushed the artichoke salad which was a pretty acquired taste and covered in pips.
We had food come out at odd times so we ended up eating separately at moments, we got charged for glassed and plates and yes, we also nearly got upsold the 25 euro mushroom.
its a shame because its quite a nice little place but we just got made to feel unwelcome and all of these other comments really resonated - odd staff, pushing food you didnt want and bringing food at weird times making the experience a strange and slightly unpleasant one - we didn't tip and left before dinner. Expensive, dated and far less attractive than everywhere...

Nice, quiet and well lit ambiance. Wine was great and bread was delicious plentiful. A bit pricey though I wouldn't have cared much for the price, but our waiter forgot to put in my order and literally, an hour and 20mins later, my food was not ready yet. My wife had already eaten her app and main course way before I decided to call it a night and asked for the check. Looking at the check. The waiter also (to make matters worse), put in the wrong appetizer order going from 3.50€ to 16€. They gave us the ol' "It is what it is" and we ended up paying anyways. Funny thing about that is to help with the language barrier, I pointed at the items I wanted that night in which the waiter acknowledged. Again,...
