We just got back from Rome after spending 6 days there. On the last evening there we were looking for some place to eat that was close to the hotel and we found 320 Gradi. We had walked by this restaurant every night on the way to the metro station and I wish we had discovered it a lot earlier in our trip as we would have eaten there several times while there. The food and service was way above par. My wife had the Past Vongole and she loved it, I tasted hers, of course, and it was outstanding. I ordered the Bolognese and it was some of the best I've every had. My sister-in-law ordered the crab & lobster ravioli with their home-made ravioli and we all tasted and it was absolutely delicious. They gave us some lemoncello gratis. We also shared a liter of their house red wine, which is house made, that was outstanding! The panna cotta was delicious, I had never had panna cotta before and I was totally amazed at how good it was. Our server, Fazli, was an outstanding server. If you're in Rome, this is a definite "MUST TRY" and make sure to ask for Fazli as your server. You definitely won't be...
Read moreMy girl friend and I were there the evening of december 31, 2021. It seems it is custom that restaurants propose a single offer "all you can eat" at that specific evening. We are not speaking Italian, and we did'nt understand the rules. The manager of the restaurant propose a cold cuts as apetizer. We were not specially hungry and it was it for us. We asked for the bill and get a 70 € bill reduced to 60 €! We understood that the price for "all you can eat" was 30 € per person. The manager charged us for a full meal! We estimated the cost of the dish as 15€ max. We discussed a bit with him but the guy did'nt want to understand our problem. This is purely dishonest. He explained that is is the rule in all the restaurants at this specific date but he was not able to be flexible with two tourists that did'nt understand the system. Shame to this guy. A similar situation in France will end by a 15 € payment, not a 60 €!!! I did not recommand this restaurant. The manager is simply...
Read moreI would like to preface this comment, that my experience was of a single dish.
Having said that, I ordered a "hamburger" and asked for it to be medium rare. Now, knowing this is not a burger place, I did not expect much, but anything that resembled a burger would have left me satisfied.
The dish that I got served should be an addendum on the geneva Convention for food, if one existed. I got served a burger patty inside an oversized pita bread. The meat was not medium rare, it was somewhere more on the spectrum of "congratulations" and the boiled.
To add insult to injury, it cost 16 eur plus 2.5 eur service charge per person.
When we asked to pay our bill and leave, the waiter tried to inquire what was wrong with our food, but after politely explaining that it just wasn't for us, his excuse was "that other people like it".
He might be right, he might not. You can decide for yourself based on...
