I understand that times are tough during covid, especially for hotels where they have to take extra precautions but what happened to us was simply unfair and disgusting to say the least.
We reserved a room for 2 people with 2 single beds and one of us decided to sleep on the sofa since it was quite big - so doing this for extra space only. The very next day, we noticed the toilet flush wasn't working properly and politely mentioned that to Elena. Elena then sends a plumber to our room to fix while we were away. That is when the plumber noticed someone slept on the sofa and mentions that to Camilla. Now I understand Camilla had some questions to us but the way she came to us was utterly disrespectful. She didn't want to hear what we had to say and kept on harassing us and accusing us that we had a 'hidden' 3rd person with us and we didn't follow order. It's really funny that she still thinks that, considering we spent 2 more nights at the hotel after that incident and Elena, the receptionist saw us at least 2 times and there were no 3rd person. Not only that, there were cameras in the hall that Camilla could have easily accessed to make sure no 3rd person was with us. I assume the cameras weren't working for financial reasons.

Read moreI stayed here with my husband and 16 year old son and couldn't really fault it. The hotel is located in a residential and shopping area and was a bit hard to find. It has a huge doorway with smaller door entrance but we walked past it a few times not realising it was our actual hotel. Inside the entrance was lovely, typical Italian with marble staircase and vintage lift.||Lovely Natalie met us when we arrived, showed us our room which was spacious and clean and explained about the free tea/coffee making facilities in kitchen area and gave us a map showing the way to some of the sights/metro etc. The room was cleaned and beds made/fresh towels given every day. It was great to have a little fridge in room. We never used kitchen/dining area but it had a fridge, small hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and tea/coffee machine. ||It took approx 20 min walk to colloseum and approx 15 min to the train terminal. Supermarket over the road and a few cafes and restaurants nearby. A great, simple base to explore a fabulous city, would...
Read moreWe really enjoyed staying at this hotel! The location is great with Termini station and the Colosseum within walking distance, and it's situated in a safe and vibrant area with loads of good restaurants. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean and since we visited Rome during a heat wave, it was great to have a proper functioning airco! ||Please note that the breakfast options are very limited, but there's loads of spots near the hotel to get a cheap but good breakfast. Other than that, this is a great place to consider when visiting Rome for a...
