Where do I start with this amazing establishment?! First off thank you so much to everyone at Hotel Capo d'Africa for making a once in a lifetime event so magical. My husband and I had been together for almost ten years and we were looking to have a destination wedding. Rome has always been on our bucket list so we decided on it as a location. Out of all of the air bnb's and all the other hotels I contacted Simona really stepped up to the plate and event coordinated my whole wedding with me down to the very last detail. I must have sent them over 100 emails before my day of actually arriving in Rome. When we first arrived the hotel was very easy to find and the front desk staff were tremendously helpful. Everyone was so polite and any wedding issues I had or requests I brought to them they were able to fulfill them with urgency and pace. The food was amazing, I recommend grabbing a bite on their rooftop restaurant overlooking the colosseum. The rooms were perfect for a hot summer in Rome and spotless. Mine and my husbands wedding was flawless and we loved every minute in Rome. Our experience at this hotel and with the staff were impeccable. I want to give a shoutout to Simona because without her we wouldn't have this beautiful memory as well as Sebastian, thank you so much for helping me on my wedding day, I didn't even ask for water before I walked down the aisle and you brought me some, which was so thoughtful of you! From me and my husband from our hearts thank you so much for all you've done If anyone wants a true recommendation for a hotel this is it for a first experience in Rome, I understand the price but it is well worth it. After a gruelling 3weeks touring around northern Italy we arrived into Rome needing a place to stay to rest our weary bodies during these very hot days in august. We found Hotel Capo d’Africa with only one room left in the room category we chose and so glad we got it. Absolutely outstanding in every way. From the moment we arrived at the front door I was really excited about our 3 night stay here Super friendly staff very helpful with all sorts of information trfs to airports etc restaurant recommendations nothing is to hard for them Our room was ready for us within the hour with our early morning arrival The breakfast was outstanding best breakfast I’ve had in Italy in over 3 weeks Fantastic selection of fresh fruit cereals yoghurts healthy alternatives scrambled eggs bacon roasted tomatoes wild rice pastries tarts organic juice just incredible and finishes at 11 am, who needs lunch Our room was just beautiful we stayed in a Premier room so big you could kick a soccer ball We had a bottle of Italian Prosecco on ice waiting for us & air conditioning was on when checking into the room Honestly just blissful Lovely friendly bar attendant in the lobby made me a delicious decaffeinated espresso martini The outdoor terrace for dining breakfast lunch and dinner is gorgeous Highly highly recommend this place for your stay when visiting Rome I would only stay here if I returned So close to the Colosseum and lovely Restaurants nearby Had a delicious dinner experience near the colosseum Tried to book for our next stay in October but booked out there is only 65 rooms so it’s a very quiet modern boutique hotel

Had a great stay at this hotel, service was exceptional from all staff, especially from Nicola who always paid special attention catered to our needs personally during breakfast without needing to ask for extra assistance. Other staff members were very friendly and recommended great places to eat and visit during our stay in Rome. The only shortcomings I can highlight is that the televisions in the rooms are slightly outdated without chromecast compatibility; we had to purchase a HDMI cable to connect our own devices, and that the lighting of the room itself could be improved as, at times, it was a bit dim. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, despite the weather not being the best due to the winter season, being in close proximity to the colosseum makes for a beautiful afternoon or evening stroll and would consider it as strong contender if I were to visit Rome again.

Our room was just beautiful we stayed in a Premier room so big you could kick a soccer ball

We had a bottle of Italian Prosecco on ice waiting for us & air conditioning was on when checking into the room

Honestly just blissful

Lovely friendly bar attendant in the lobby made me a delicious decaffeinated espresso martini

The outdoor terrace for dining breakfast lunch and dinner is gorgeous

Highly highly recommend this place for your stay when visiting Rome

This was one of the most alarming and unacceptable experiences I've ever had in a hotel. A male staff member entered my room at night while I was sleeping at 11:50 PM - completely violating my privacy and sense of safety. I immediately reported the incident to the reception, but shockingly, they showed no concern or urgency and they just said sorry and we can give you a complimentary breakfast. This is a serious security breach, and the lack of response from the hotel is absolutely disgraceful. Guests should never have to feel unsafe in their own rooms.||Unfortunately, there was no real compensation offered. I only received a small traditional gift—some sweets—and a complimentary breakfast, which I honestly did not need. What I expected was meaningful compensation that reflects the seriousness of the incident and the unsafe situation the hotel placed me in.||As a hotel known for excellence, I believe the response should have matched the gravity of the issue. While I appreciate the gesture from the management team in sending sweets and offering breakfast, it simply does not equate to what happened. A more appropriate compensation would be a complimentary stay—either later this year or next year.||I’ve traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, but this was the first time I experienced such an issue. I genuinely felt unsafe and spent each night in fear, unable to sleep properly until morning. The emotional toll this took on me cannot be overstated.||Even now, I remain shocked by what happened—it was truly a rare and...
