Not sure what the great reviews are about...the fried mozzarella balls were yummy but that was about it. Our margherita pizza with prosciutto was burnt and didn't even come with greens or fresh mozzarella. We were one of few tourists there and it took an extra hour for our pizza to come after appetizers. At least two Italian speaking tables finished before us. We had no wait but a huge line was forming when we left. We were also confused when they brought us our limoncellos before our meal instead of after. Not worth the high reviews they got. We were sad this was where we decided to go for our last meal in Rome.

Eat where the locals eat... and this is such a place! At this place the locals will stand in line to get a table! They offer a great variety of fresh red and white pizzas. The service by the friendly staff was quick (although the place was completely full) and correct. We had the white house wine, which was also very good. We had to sit inside to eat and in the beginning there was a loud (not really disturbing) atmosphere (because the place was fully booked) but the great food made up for it big time. We will go back here for sure for some great pizza!

Mediocre food, slow service in an authentic Italian environment. We ordered 2 pizzas, acórese salad, suppli, and the battered courgette flower. The appetizers were good and service relatively prompt. We waited over 1 hour to get the pizza. We saw people seated well after us getting their food and no waiter coming to even check on us. Finally someone noticed and they said “2 minutes” which turned into 20 minutes. There was no apology or anything for the bad service. The pizza was greasy and overly cheesy. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Li Rioni was a great find in Rome. It's a short walk from the colosseum, and it is well worth it. We had the bruschetta and stuffed olives to start, and they were both lovely, fresh and very tasty. The pizzas are outstanding, really thin base and lovely, fresh toppings. We had a carafe of the house wine and could not believe it was only 9.50 euros for a litre. The cocktails were also lovely. Excellent service, very reasonable prices, and outstanding food. We will definitely return when we visit Rome again!

Delicious aperitif and appetizers and pizza. the meat stuffed olives I fell in love with in Venice did not disappoint! Bruschetta with mushrooms was savory and delicious. Perfect with as Aperol spritz. Pizza had a great thin crust and was served bubbling hot. House wine is a great value. So good. I arrived at 1915 on a Thursday and it was empty. Not a spare table by the time I left 90 min later so reservations might be needed. Highly recommended. Great food at a great price!

Li Rioni is simply amazing! Tucked away in the beautiful streets of the San Giovanni district, it’s like discovering a secret pizza paradise. Their pizza is out of this world—so crispy and full of flavor. I can’t help but stop by every time I’m in Rome! The Calzone Mostruoso is a total game-changer; it’s just packed with deliciousness. And the staff? They’re super friendly and make you feel right at home. If you’re in Rome and craving pizza, Li Rioni is a must-visit spot!
