Stayed here for €415 per night in September. There is a breakfast of croissants and coffee provided every morning in a common area which was a fantastic surprise as this wasn’t mentioned to us when booking. There are two sets of stairs that must be climbed in order to get to the tiny 1/2m square lift on the first floor, so this could be a problem when travelling with older people. Reception was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. Staff helped us with our bags to and from rooms at arrival and departure. Location is fantastic, with shopping, great restaurants, groceries all nearby, with many main attractions to Rome within a 15 or 20 min walk. Rooms were well presented and serviced well, however the showers are extremely slippery including the glossy floor in the bathroom. There are emergency red pull levers in the showers that suggests they may have had safety issues with this. We had one of our family members slip over in the shower, and two others almost slipping, so I would not stay here again just for this reason. They pulled the emergency red lever though no one came to attend. After alerting reception of this one room was provided with a non slip mat in the shower, but our other room was advised they didn’t have any left 😳. The window to our room had scaffolding outside, as did all other rooms our family members were staying in was a disappointment, with workers starting their banging from around 9am. Banging wasn’t really an issue as we were awake and/or out of the hotel on most mornings by then. Overall, our experience was a good one, though the hotel needs to address the safety issue of the slippery showers and whilst the scaffolding was annoying we presume this was just bad...
Read moreReally liked this hotel, though it's not really a hotel as such. There is no bar or restaurant and the reception is only manned until 3pm each day. We arrived after 3pm but we were sent all the relevant information to gain access and it was all seamless.||There is quite a steep set of marble steps before you reach where the lift is but they will arrange for someone to help you with your bags if required. There is a private apartment on the first level and the rooms are on the second and third level. We had a deluxe twin room on the second floor. It was smaller than I expected, but beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the bathroom was a generous size with a window. Nice toiletries and a really good shower.||Stefanie, the receptionist, was absolutely charming and very helpful.||Each morning on the third floor, there are complementary pastries and a coffee machine. There's a seating area with tables and chairs.||The location is perfect. We got the SIT Shuttle Bus from Fiumicino airport to Vatican city and it was a 10 minute walk to the hotel. All of the main attractions are a 30 minute walk, as is Trastevere with its many restaurants.||On our last day, we were able to leave our luggage and as we weren't returning till around 6 when reception wasn't manned, we just had to phone 20 minutes before we wanted to collect our bags and someone met us there to give them to us and he carried our bag downstairs. Excellent service.||Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would...
Read moreI decided to go to Rome and wanted some accommodation that was close to all the major attractions.. The location is perfect and nothing is more than 20/25 min walk. The river is very closeby and there is lots of shopping really near to the hotel. |The team contacted me prior to arrival to see what time I would get there and offered to send a taxi to pick me up.. we didn’t go for this as we wanted the adventure of getting in from the airport. |We arrived around 12:30pm and I was really pleased to find that our room was ready.. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and checked us in explaining the location and then took us to the room. The room was amazing and looked very new.. spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are very well put together and showers are good and powerful. The room had all the usual features, safe, TV, A/C etc. there is a mini bar which the water is complimentary and a fridge with beer and wine etc. |one of the nice surprises is that they include coffee and pastries each morning from 8am.. a nice touch.. the coffee is excellent. |I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as it ticked all the boxes and the price was good too. |I will definitely be back if I ever come to Rome...
