My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Schuler in October 2024 for four nights. As the leader of a group of 28 traveling through Sicily, I was a bit anxious about ensuring that our final stay in Taormina would meet everyone’s expectations. However, Hotel Villa Schuler proved to be a perfect choice and far exceeded my hopes, providing each member of our group with an experience that was truly unforgettable.

Villa Schuler’s location is unbeatable – just a quick stair climb away from the main pedestrian street in Taormina, making it easy for our group to explore the town. The hotel has an inviting, charming ambiance that makes you feel like you are staying somewhere truly special. We felt instantly at ease here, and many in our group mentioned that it was their best hotel experience ever.

Gerhard and Christine Schuler, along with their son Andrea and the entire team, welcomed us with a level of hospitality that felt genuine and personal. They hosted a cocktail reception for our group, where Mr. Schuler shared the hotel’s rich history and offered us advice on making the most of our stay at the hotel. Every interaction with the staff reflected a careful balance of professionalism and warmth, especially the reception team – Claudia, Mariangela, Elena, and Simona – who went above and beyond to accommodate our needs with grace and kindness.

Our rooms were exceptionally clean and thoughtfully appointed making it clear that the Schulers paid a lot of attention to detail. The views from both the rooms and the common areas were breathtaking – the kind of panoramic views that make you stop and appreciate the beauty of Sicily. An unexpected but delightful surprise was the lush, expansive garden, which was meticulously maintained and provided a peaceful escape from the busyness of the town. Mr. Schuler even led a private tour of the garden for some members of our group, showcasing its unique plants and tranquil atmosphere.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Schuler and the entire Villa Schuler team for making our stay so memorable. They have truly created a special place that combines the warmth of family hospitality with the elegance of an exceptional hotel experience. We felt like part of the family, and every member of our group left with a deep appreciation for the care and dedication that went into every detail...

The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect — close to everything, yet peaceful and authentic. The interior design is full of character, with beautiful spaces that make you feel like you’re in a historic movie set. The breakfast area and the views are to die for — truly breathtaking! The breakfast itself is generous, beautifully presented, and delicious. The breakfast staff are simply wonderful — special thanks to Rosita, who is the absolute highlight of the hotel. She makes every morning feel special. Now, about the room — we made a mistake choosing one without a sea or garden view, and instead ended up facing the courtyard, which really has no view at all (just rooftops). So definitely make sure you book a sea-view or garden-view room — it’s worth it. We wanted to upgrade, but the hotel was fully booked. The check-in process could definitely be improved. If you arrive by car, note that parking can be stressful, especially in the dark. There’s little information beforehand about where to leave your car or how the valet service works — we arrived tired, driving through narrow one-way mountain streets, and it was confusing to find where to stop. The valet eventually parked it in the garage, but clearer instructions would help a lot. Also, check-in itself was slow — after a long trip (and being visibly pregnant), I would have appreciated a bit more understanding and flexibility. Instead, everything was quite procedural — passports, luggage, forms, photos — it would have been nice if they’d simply let us rest and finalize those details later. Housekeeping did a great job overall — very clean and nicely arranged every day. So, in summary: • Breakfast & staff: absolute highlight — amazing team and presentation! • Housekeeping: excellent. • Reception: could be more attentive, flexible, and better coordinated. (They even once gave out the wrong car from the garage!) Despite these small issues, I would definitely return — next time I’d just make sure to book a sea-view or...

Villa Schuller, one word to describe it, just MAGICAL….!!|It has been two weeks since we returned from our holiday in Sicily. Stayed at villa Schuller for eight nights (16-24 of August 2025 ) and I can honestly say we had the best holiday ever.|Villa Schuller is situated right in the heart of Taormina.| Arrived at Villa Schuller in the middle of the night, but Giada and Marko made our checking very seamlessly. Marko helped us with our luggages and gave us a welcoming drink, and Giada very clearly explained everything we needed to know about the hotel and our stay there.|We stayed in room 28 which was located on the third floor. The room had two balconies with breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea on one side, and Mount Etna on the other. Our room was spacious with high ceilings, and the view from both balconies was to die for. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and sheets were crispy white.|The bathroom was also very nice with fantastic amenities.|Breakfast was delicious, lots of varieties to choose from, and freshly made every day.||Thank you Giada, Marko, Rosita, Simona and each member of stuff at Villa Schuller for going above and beyond to make our holiday the one to remember.|You are all very kind, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional people. You are all amazing, you are all shining 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟|Sorry, we mentioned only few names here, but we would like you to know that we appreciate each and everyone of you, and can’t thank you enough for everything that you have done to make our holiday so special.|Thank you for helping us to book the beautiful beach clubs you had collaborated with, thank you for helping us book our trips and transfers from one place to another.|Everything organised by you was perfection.||We highly, highly recommend Villa Schuller to anyone who is looking to book a holiday in Taormina.||We miss you all very much and can’t wait to see you all again soon! ||Best wishes to you all...

Hotel Villa Schuler I booked last minute a room from booking. After receiving the confirmation, I realise it was a flexible room, meaning that the type of room I get would be decided upon arrival and that I may have to change rooms during my 4 night stay. Upon arrival my room was not yet ready as I arrived early.  The reception staff suggested a restaurant nearby for me to have lunch I til my room was ready. It was a great suggestion. When I came back my room was ready. I have to say the hotel is a bit of an older style which was  surprising as based on the photos I was expecting  something different, traditional yet modern.  The hotel is definitely older  leaving you with feeling it could use a refurbishment. The room I got was a bit noisy as I could hear people in the hallways and people walking above me. That being said, you have all you could expect from a 4 star hotel. The thing that I like the most was how the staff was friendly. I must also mentioned that the first day my room was cleaned I noticed how nicely all my belongings had been replaced in the  bathroom and with such care. I had just stayed in a 5 star hotel in Siracusa where everytime my bathroom was cleaned all my things has been thrown all over the place  like it had bothered them that it was there. Sonitnwas a very nice feeling at this hotel.

Historic hotel from 1905 with panoramic views and a beautiful terrace for the delicious a la carte breakfast. Be sure to chill on the roof terrace. I stayed for 2 nights in a superior sea view room by the palm trees. Oh it was delightful the view, the breeze of the trees, the sunrise. Mario and the team are so kind and welcoming. The bloody orange juice - wow, the fresh fruit from their botanical gardens. The homemade granita, the omelette. The hotel is in a prime location, a short stroll, well 2 mins to the old lanes, the beautiful public gardens, heavenly views. Chill in their private gardens, walk through the gate up the stairs and whambam you are on the main historic street, turn left, right and explore! From my balcony, I experienced two spectacular firework displays, met some other lovely international guests. Many guests stay here 4 plus nights, fab location in your private oasis in beautiful Taormina. Thank you to wonderful Villa Schuler team for looking after me and sorting out the car service from the airport. Brilliant.
