For Taormina it s probably an okay option, because the food standards of the area are low! However, if you compare the food with other Italian cities, you would rank the food with 3/5, while portions were tiny!
Overall I really believed in this place, I saw the good reviews and the fact that it was not in the Main Street and hoped that it will offer great dishes. The pros : Run as a family business by genuinely nice people! They took a lot of time to explain to us the dishes and the wine options, they even gave us some small wine samples to try before we choose! Nice alley adding to the atmosphere! The ugly: the starter was tasty, but tiny for the price we got 2 mains, callamari and swordfish 20 and 22 euros respectively! The portions were extremely small, the calamari was WAY over cooked and the swordfish was the tiniest amount of fish I have ever seen for this price and not any special favour! deserts : 1) tiramisu was bad! The savagiars were dry 2) ravioli with cheese and honey: tiny portion again and in general they bring you 3 fried donut type things (in Greece we call it loukouma), while we were expecting some sort of pasta! All in all the last desert in particular was a joke, you can find it in take away cantines in Greece
I really liked the people 5/5 but if they were not in Taormina this place would have 3.5/5, but the demand is that high that apparently you can go by with extremely...
Read moreThis place is a normal SCAM(money RIP OFF) ! Tourist trap made just by ,,self made reviews"!!!!! I get also into this trap - just like all of the people coming to this place and looking the route in their mobiles . As probably they will accuse me of making a review to spoil their reputation I will precisely describe all my visit. I was very hungry and looking for the best restaurant to eat. I have called them 3 times and they claimed that they are full but I can come by and we will see. Thats what I did - and "miracle" has happened - nobody was seating outside! no one !!! I didn't told that I was calling and just have a seat. I have ordered brushetta ( 30 minutes of waiting for that) - it was the worst one I have ever tried ! Than I ordered steak which was completely burned and over grilled !!! I could eat few peaces !!! What was awful is that they made potatoes after I've asked about that - so when they came the steak was already cold!!! With a smile on my face I said that it was delicious meal - the best I have tried! And if you don't belive me just take a look at the reviews - done by accounts having 1or 2 reviews!! All of this is a lie!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at TreQuarti, a family-owned restaurant in Taormina, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by the owners - a mother, father, and their daughter, Tecla, who served us throughout the night.
The food was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the tuna and the fried shrimp, which were cooked to perfection. The antipasti of ham and cheeses, served with honey and marmalade, was also a perfect start to the meal, and everything was beautifully presented.
But what really made the evening special was the warmth and hospitality of the family who run the restaurant. Tecla was such a wonderful host, making us feel at home and sharing stories about the dishes and the restaurant's history. It was obvious that the family takes great pride in their business, and that pride translates into every detail of the dining experience, from the food to the service.
Overall, I would highly recommend treQuarti to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you, Tecla and family, for a truly...
