I went there with my family in occasion of our wedding anniversary.
We felt like something simple, but as the waitress Maria brought the menu over we could appreciate the passion they are running the place with.
I had seafood spaghetti,my wife spaghetti with bolognese sauce. My little kid was delighted by pasta asciutta!
Generous portions cooked at perfection. Seafood pasta was delicious: an explosion of seafood mix with a giant prawn in the middle, mussels and vongole all over the plate! I felt the flavor of the ocean in it!
On a darker note: my wife confiscated that plate in exchange of the bolognese one because she saw how much I was enjoying it!
Bolognese sauce was fantastic fresh and home made though.
So the note wasn't that dark for me. As they say Happy wife happy life!
We've ordered two glasses of red wine. Delicious strong bodied red syrah from principi di butera!
On a brighter note: wify gave her glass to me. It was too much for her XD!
In short: friendly staff, we have been helped by Mrs Maria friendly, gentle and competent. The place was very well looked after.
A must go if you find yourself in the area!
Oh, last but not least price wise? Absolutely affordable!
Keep up the good work guys we'll see you again...
Read moreWe were touring as part of a group tour with a cruise and then the tour ended and we were simply roaning around. We found this restaurant and it has an interesting entrance with lots of steps to the main room. The room was fully air conditioned and it was hot, and was probably around 50% full when we got there at 1:30pm so that's good. Later it became nearly 90% so clearly it's high quality.
The service was fantastic, fast and attentive. They also prepared the food really quicky and in great portion sizes.
The food itself, well save the best bit till last. The finest Italian food I have ever had. Spinach Ravioli with trufle sauce, me and my wife were literally using our bread to clean the sauce till the end and the plate went back bone dry of sauce, it was that good. For mains, I choice Tune Steak and yet again it was the finest I've ever had. They made a special salad with incredible sauce/dressing around the tuna steak that gave it a sweet, fresh taste yet kept the tuna taste there too. 5-star food would, to me, be a serious...
Read moreIf it wasn't for the view, I would have rated 1 star over all. This was a rather expensive little hole, and the service was quite poor. Staff were very inattentive to patrons, and frankly it felt like none of them wanted to be there. I struggled to get their attention. The aglio olio e peperoncino was terrible, and the pizza was even worse. I ordered the fennel salad which was put together with less care than I thought possible for a salad and to top it off our dinner was accompanied by a rather large fleet of wasps which appeared to be attracted to the sticky floor next to our table. Disappointed, to say the least, one day in Taormina, and this was our impression of the food scene there.....tourist trap focused on the churn, the music was too loud and the waiter appeared to be absolutely chonged, approx €64.00 for 1 aglio olio e peperoncino, 1 pizza, 1 fennel salad, 2 soft drinks and, a...
