B&B Ca' del Pomo Granà — Hotel in Venice

We booked the accommodation back in April and were so excited to arrive! The pictures looked fresh, clean and inviting and had a superb rating.||We were sooooo disappointed when we arrived at 9.30 in the evening. The walk up the long path was unlit and entry is through a very narrow doorway. ||The accommodation is extremely drab and tired inside. ||The wardrobe doors are wonky, filled with extra blankets for all other rooms by the looks of things. ||The shower drain over flowed in the morning and when we opened it up it was jammed with hair and was filthy dirty 😬there is mould on the tiles and also in the shower enclosure. ||One good thing, the bedding is fresh and white.||Whilst it says breakfast provided it is just packaged bread and cheap cakes, there is yoghurt and butter and packs of cheese in the fridge.||We were only given one small bottle of water on the second morning for the two of us.||We did call and email the problems on the first day but have had no reply to the email as of yet, and only had the shower emptied and cleaned as we left a note under the door and the drain wide open.||Overall we were really disappointed for the price of the accommodations quality, and literally only slept there and left first thing in the mornings and came back late in the evenings. We did try to book elsewhere but cost was prohibitive at such late notice with no chance of a refund from this place.||They do have a cat that is allowed in the rooms so if you are allergic, bear...

I've ended up in this B&B in Murano only because it was the only one available in the Venice area. It's well located away from the noisy touristic areas and few minutes walk from the main public transport to both airport and Venice. The pros of the area have been set off by the B&B itself which has great potential although very badly managed. We were welcomed by a very kind lady at our arrival. It tooks us few minutes to realise the room was dirty and a cat made its way in the room straight way. I'm not allergic to cats yet it's not written anywhere that there is a cat leaving in the property. There were hair tangled in the towels and we were left without toilet paper and hot water during our last day. Luckily we had some tissue with us. The most annoying part was the breakfast which we paid for and it's even ridiculous calling it breakfast. No milk, no cereals of any kind. Some brioche and jams with instant coffee or espresso machine. These stuff are not replenished during your stay therefore when it's gone it's gone. We were left with no instant cappuccino ed brioche in the second day. Thank god we only stayed there for 3. There is no a breakfast area so all you do is well confined in your room. I would not recommend this B&B also given the fact that is very expensive for what you get. I'd rather pay more and get decent service and clean...

Great place if you like roaches! We came back to our room at midnight to find the place littered with little cockroaches coming out of the walls. I called the owner/manager Zaniol Carla, and while he did wake up and come investigate, his attitude was “bugs come in from outside, what can I do about it?” I probably killed 10 roaches in my room in 10 minutes. We had to sleep with the lights on so they wouldn’t come out. On top of that, there was several spider webs in the rooms. How you don’t get rid of some spider webs before guests come is beyond me.
