Panificio Pasticceria Marangon dal 1952 — Restaurant in Venice

This little bakery off the beaten path on Murano was one of our very top experiences on our Venetian vacation, September 2024. With their doors open on a rainy day, we were drawn in by the sweet smell of baking and the warmth of the shop. We bought a couple of pastries, ate them, then loved them so much, we came back for a dozen more to eat for breakfast and midnight snacks over the next few days in Venice. The bakery has been in business since 1952 - we meet Grandma, Mama and Daughter (who thankfully spoke some English since we aren't good with Italian). This shop is away from the tourist crush on Murano - and you must come here and try anything with apricot or pistacio...

Panificio Pasticceria Marangon dal 1952 on the island of Murano is an absolute gem! Our family thoroughly enjoyed their delicious apple pastries and croissants, which were simply divine. The staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home with their warm hospitality. The atmosphere in the bakery was cozy and inviting, enhancing our overall experience. Lovely local business! The lady was very friendly, although she does not speak English. Very good food and sweets and such low prices in a very quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the shops.
