This restaurant has a good environment and delicious food but sadly some of the waiter and waitress are kind of passive and unfriendly. For example: they didn’t provide the olive oil, paper and salt when they served the bread which I had to ask myself. Strangely they give everything for other Italian or European costumers which is a pity that as an Asian we couldn’t experience the local way of how people enjoy their food here.
Thank you for your reply, everything of what I have said here was 100% true, I’m just trying to describe what happened from my perspective and to be as neutral as possible.
Since you said to be honest, I would like to describe more detail with you.
The table beside us were Italian, and they have everything from the beginning (I don’t know if eating bread with olive oil paper and salt is inappropriate or what is the tradition of your restaurant), it could be a misunderstanding.
In the beginning, the taller waiter from the bar told me that you don’t have enough space so that I said we can sit separately, afterwards he said we can check the menu over there.
We stand on the aisle to check the menu so that we probably disturbed their work but the shorter waiter ask us to move in a ironic way, til here I’m still fine because it’s technically our fault.
We appreciate a lot that we could sit together. However, I saw the shorter waiter rolled his eyes at us while we eating lunch??
This is unacceptable, in the first comment above I didn’t even use the word “discrimination” but please ask your employee properly.
It is pointless to spend so much time to make this comment if it didn’t...
Read moreNice decor and nice pumpkin pasta. 1 star for each of them. Other than that the spinich and ricotta pasta was horrible. Just tasted like burnt milk in the sauce, no flavour at all. Portions are tiny and really overpriced. A bottle of Borolo charged at €30. Not even €10 worth. Cheap nasty wine overcharged. Basic service. Locals got olive oil and balsamic with the meal. I had to ask for it like tourists aren't good enough to get a full service. Disappointing and not worth going. Also think it's a disgrace having a service charge on top of the bill. Your job is to serve in which you get paid for. If its such an inconvenience to serve people that you have to add an additional charge then don't have a restaurant. A jeweler gets paid a wage to work in a jewelery shop, they then dont add an extra charge for serving you. Cabin crew get paid to work on an airline, they don't then add a charge to serve you. Point is, its your job. Scandalous to have service charges in...
Read moreThe food, the service, the atmosphere and the staff were absolutely amazing. This place was just beside our hotel and based on the cute little terrace we did not realize that this would be find dining.
Everything we ordered (sampler starter platter, grilled seafood platter & crispy calamari & shrimps) was absolutely amazing. The look on our son's face when he had his first bite of the calamari is priceless. Oh and tiramisu & cheesecake desserts were also delicious!
Don't miss the drawing of R. Ottley, the artist for Amazing Spider-Man and HULK for Marvel comics. He did one of a superhero saying "Risotto Rules" when he ate in this very restaurant. How cool is that?
What a great way to end our...
