A must visit shop in Murano - Giorgio makes more than just souvenirs, his delicate handicraft of my golden retriever will always hold a special place in my heart.

Unlike most of the other shops, Giorgio's shops is especially homely - with his quaint little workspace at the corner where you can watch him work! He was super informative and passionate about his art when we approached him for a custom piece - he explained to us how it's made, showed us the colours that he will use, and requested for more pictures just so he could make the most accurate piece of our dog. For the quality and efficiency, he charges a perfectly reasonable price for his artwork too.

This place was fantastic. Not only did Giorgio take the time to comb through his drawers to find the perfect rubber duck-aesthetic figurine for our daughter, but he proceeded to make a frog figurine for us to add to my wife’s sister’s collection live in 20 minutes.

All the while he narrated his process and told us about his nearly 40 year history of glass and metal work, dating back to soldering electronics. He threw in funny factoids about the surging popularity of Baby Yoda figurines and the techniques behind his beveled glass and platings.

Cannot recommend this kind, quaint and signature Murano...

The visit to the store was very successful, the salesman was very helpful and talked about the process of creating products. It was also exciting to see how handicrafts made of glass are created. However, despite assurances that the glass elements are sturdy in the purchased dahlia broke a leaf - and only after a few days of careful wear.
