(I am Italian and can't eat gluten or lactose) I wanted to try something local and traditional. I ordered sardines in saor which is supposed to have sardines, onions, pine nuts and raisins, cooked in white wine. What I got was sardines with undercooked (they were white rather than transparent and hard to bite) onions and nothing-else. Almost all other restaurants would give polenta to go with it. But there was nothing else, no pine nuts, no raisins. it was also very vinegary.
Then I ordered "veal oven baked". They were like ham slices. Tasted good but it was nothing else than a plate full of ham slices.
The mixed grilled vegetables as a side dish, was made of 4 or 5 pieces of boiled potatoes and peas. Fair enough, potatoes and peas are botanically vegetables but not in the common sense and definitely not what one would expect as a vegetable. It's like scamming a bit. 🐠 🦐 🦀 🦑 the mixed appetiser of “fish” is actually a seafood platter which consists of a white fish, several prawns, squid and a crab pincer - very fresh in general and really tasty!

The highlight of the meal, however, was the risotto. Creamy and cooked to perfection, it was a comforting dish that truly captured the essence of Venetian cuisine. Paired with a glass of local wine, it was a meal...
