Our stay at Ca'Angeli was pretty nice! I'll start with the positives first! The breakfast and the breakfast room were absolutely lovely! We even had an early morning start one of our days and they made us a breakfast bag to go so that we didn't miss a breakfast! They were also able to accommodate for my gluten allergy. They were very nice about that.||The location is pretty nice as well. Right near the Rialto bridge and not too far of a walk to the train station. ||The building itself is interesting. It's a shared building so not completely owned by the hotel, but I think that may be normal in Italy? ||The few negatives: We had also booked a double superior with the promise of a view. I think we may have been confused by the website photos because we were expecting a room with canal view/ or partial view? and our room had no view to speak of. And worse was that construction was going on the building across the way and was VERY LOUD and workers right outside our window. Didnt want to leave window open or workers could see right in. Luckily we had an early morning one morning and then our other days were weekend days so no work was being done on those days, but if we had been staying on more weekdays I would have been so upset. We even asked to change room but were denied by the temporary staff. We would have asked one of the owners but it was hit or miss on when they would be there and the temporary staff didn't seem to know what to do to placate the situation. ||I think a heads up or a slight discount would have been nice due to the construction and the lack of view which we had...

I love small private hotels with character and I love a good view and this fulfills all those criteria . Stayed here before about 10 years ago, same top floor room and same warm welcome. ||Glad of the air conditioning on this very hot weekend and we appreciated the gesture of a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. ||Nice breakfasts in a characterful room also overlooking the canal. All my favourite breakfast goodies such as fruit and yoghurt, granola, seeds then a tasty selection of meats cheese and tomato. ||The only disappointment was the ‘hot water’ in the big silver urn wasn’t really hot enough to make English tea but this was soon rectified and the freshly squeezed orange juice was so tasty it made up for the tea! ||An added source of interest was the fact that unbeknown to us the Bezos wedding party were staying next door so we watched the paps and security buzzing g around indicating an appearance and wandered down to the jetty to wave as the happy couple went by in the Aman private boat. | |This hotel is in a great location for exploring Venice on foot or by vaparetto. It’s only about 15 mins to st Marks square and the osterias in San Polo are in my view far better than round the busy tourist areas...

What an amazing location in Venice!||We [family of 3] drove into Venice from Tuscany, and dropped off our hire car and where at the boat taxi in minutes; 10 minutes through the canals to these central but angelically quite location; It has real history!||Standard italian fare for breakfast, high quality continental.|We ate out nearby, every other night.||We walked in and out of Venice daily.||Be mindful if you book a direct deal its CASH only, otherwise count on paying another 100 euros.||To mirror other reviews, I'm not going to repeat all the good things about this lovely establishment and the staff but every word is true. Our very first visit to Venice made us look for somewhere very special and this is the place. It is wonderful in all respects; the dock is not directly on the property, it just to the right, but it changes nothing of the charm and...

This hotel was centrally located in San Polo neighborhood and close to the Rialto Bridge and a water taxi stop-Silverstro is close by and that makes it easy to navigate around Venice. The accommodations at the hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were attentive and helpful. The free breakfast was great and fulfilling- it gives you a great start to the day to explore Venice! This guest house is a small boutique hotel…we had a floor to ourselves! The amenities were excellent! We had air conditioning…Cable TV and we daily housekeeping services! It would be great if they would offer a ‘wine down’ happy hour a few nights during the week at the hotel to mingle with the guests who are staying at the hotel! I recommend to those who want a chill experience and this hotel has a private dock for the water taxi to drop you off from the airport!

It was my first visit to Venice. After a few days of exploring the city and its surroundings, I came to the conclusion that this guest house is perfectly located in my favorite district of San Palo. As we didn't book the Junior Suite, which as the only room has "Canale Grande" view, we didn't spend so much time in our clean and cozy room. The advantage was, that we were much more getting around exploring the wonderful city of Venice. The dining room for breakfast compensates for the lack of view in the rooms. The breakfast buffet shined with a great selection of local organic products. The food was very delicious. I was most impressed by the orange press. The fact that the juice was so sweet was more due to the oranges than the press. The staff was delightfully friendly, helpful and understated. Excellent. I can warmly recommend this accommedation.

We chose this hotel because it gave the impression it was a more local, family-run hotel, and it certainly was the case. We arrived late and the man at the reception was incredibly nice and attentive. He walked us through all the intricacies of the room, from how the A/C or windows worked, to the courtesy slippers in the wardrobe. Breakfast was included and despite COVID measures, it was plenty and was served by the kindest lady, unfortunately we didn't get her name. She spoke mostly Italian but we understood each other and made our mornings quite special. The hotel has a view to the Gran Canal and is a bit tricky to find if you're using Google Maps, go in on the left the street before Maps shows (if coming from Rialto), then right and left again. We truly loved our three nights at Ca'Angeli!
