My husband and I absolutely loved staying at Hotel Bel Sito!! If we ever come back to Venice we'll definitely book here again. Before booking at Bel Sito I called to see what kind of beds they had. I was told memory foam and was instructed to book direct online on their website for the best price and extra perks. It was easy and quick. Upon entering the Hotel, we were greeted by a gentleman (don't know his name, he had salt and pepper colored hair) who was really nice and welcoming. He looked up our reservation and apologized because he had prepared our welcome packet in German instead of English. (We are Americans living in Germany so he saw the German phone number and country of residence.) He assured us he'd redo the packet. He gave us the key and said that we had been upgraded for free! Room 131 right near the stairs, overlooking the little square and Santa Maria Giglio church. We also received a free gift, a 2018 pocket planner with a pen. How delightful! Then he said, "And now my colleague will help you upstairs with your luggage," and on cue a butler came around the corner and took our luggage! We were thoroughly impressed with this high-class hospitality management. The butler situated us in our room and pointed out the amenities: TV, remote, safety box in the wardrobe, and 2 complimentary bottles of water. Wow!! A few minutes later the butler returned with our welcome packet. We received 2 free passes to some church museums due to booking online, a welcome drink ticket and a tea time pass! That evening we asked the gentleman at the front desk his best recommendation for seafood nearby, and he recommended Vino Vino. It was an excellent dinner and very close to the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was exquisite. Loved the yogurt machine and fresh honey comb! The location was also great, close to some good restaurants and not far from San Marco Piazza. Also very close to the Giglio vaporetto stop and a gondola stop. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was nice and fancy! We also were able to leave our luggage after we checked out until we left the city. They had an inner courtyard that would be nice in warmer weather. The towel rack in the bathroom wasn't heating but that wasn't a huge deal. We just wanted a nice place to stay with a comfy bed, but we got so much more!! I thought what we paid for the value we received was excellent. Keep up the great...
Read moreIt might be only one night, but it is a memorable stay during our holiday in Venezia. If you are looking for a quiet area for staying, this hotel should be a great choice. The hotel looks outdated, but we are still amazed with its service, decorations, and rooms facilities. I do not mind coming back to stay in this hotel. It is un unforgettable stay in Venice, Italy.
The price seems a bit expensive for a 3 star hotel, but after we arrive here, we understand and it's worth it. The room is not so big, but the bathroom is spacious. We were in the second floor room with a church view. They joined two single beds to be queen bed size. The pillow and bed are comfortable. The linens smell so fragrant and good. We slept well during the night. The temperature is perfect without AC. We have a TV, a small fridge, a cabinet, a mirror, and an extra bed for the kid. The bathroom is already included with amenities such as soap, shower cap, shampoo, towels. It is clean. The bath up is big. It might be difficult for people with reduced mobility. The breakfast is great. They have many choices, bread, eggs, cakes, chocolate drink, coffee, pancakes, fruits. I loved it. They have rooms with canal views and church views. Both are amazing. On the ground floor, you can take a picture with a canal view. It is amazing. The staff is nice, friendly, and helpful. The entrance is accessible for wheelchairs. The lift works well. They have a bar. The check-in process is fast. Just need to pay a city tax before check-out. We need to take a boat to cross to the San Marco with 2 euros fee per person from the canal nearby. If you take a ferry, it will cost 9.50 euros per person. The location is excellent. It is close to the main attractions by walking. Many gondola stops nearby. We took a night ride with a 110 euros fee. It is an...

This Hotel exceeded its 3 Star rating and our expectations. It has a well-deserved Certificate of Excellence awarded 2014. The four of us give it our highest recommendation. What a fantastic relaxing gem for our 3 day stay in Venice after cruising with Queen Elizabeth. Its situation could not have been more perfect, 5 minute stroll to the noisy bustle of St Mark’s Square, 100 meters from the hectic Giglio Vaparetto Station.( Take an all-day ticket on Route 1 for around the entire Grand Canal hopping on and off as you wish for E.17.) Through charming narrow streets lined with enticing Venetian glass shops you will find many very good restaurants of varying prices.
From the moment the water taxi dropped us off at the private entrance on a canal we were enchanted by this hotel which is beautifully situated in a quiet and quaint corner of Piazza Giglio. The hotel offered typically Venetian comfortably furnished bedrooms, bathrooms on the small side, but impeccably clean, with plenty of hot water. Buffet breakfast selection of fruit, cereals, yogurts, fresh croissant, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs plus assorted cakes and delicious apple strudel was an excellent start to the day, which could be enjoyed on the Piazzo at the front of the hotel. Reception was outstanding and could not have been more helpful, especially Antonio. It was a joy to have the facility to return to the hotel and enjoy a beer or tea in the cool charming wisteria clad Courtyard or on the hotel Piazza facing the stunning Basilica. A facility few...
