We booked for a hotel one block away. When we came to Venice, we were asked to re-route here instead. Wondered why.. it must be because of the effects of the recent corona crisis. But they did not disappoint! This is owned by the same family who owns the hotel we should've checked in for. At the receiving area: Almost midnight, the reception, who was an old man, very literate with English, smart, super friendly & accommodating. It felt like a really good impression & experience of Venice, how good he was with us. Breakfast: really good choices, things that I (an asian) can eat! As I am not very crazy with european breakfast buffets, but here was a table full of stuff I actually love to eat! And 3 choices of yummy morning juices. The staff are SUPER. They served us, as we weren't allowed to touch the buffet, and even went all the way as to take my breakfast tray to my table out in the garden. I really blushed at how proactive they were. My husband still had his tray on his table while eating, the staff kindly removed the tray so my husband can eat comfortably and with extra class! Just the little gestures from the food service was super nice! And heavenly garden outside to eat in the morning. Housekeeping: our bedroom was really neat when we came back. It was as though we first checked in. We asked for another set of blanket in the morning before we left the hotel. When we came back, it wasn't there. Rang the reception, they apologized and the housekeeping was there to give us two sets immediately. I really don't have any complaints with their service. I only have really good recommendation to tell about them! Cleanliness, design and interior: spacious bathroom & toilet, really big bed, Victorian design very romantic, reminds me so much of Europian culture. Cleanliness is superb, environment smells nice. We got up at 10 am, no loud noises, discreet staff doing their job. By the water where you can sit. Quiet neighborhood, not busy with all the tourists. Very near the bus station. Also near the square where young folks gather at night to party, in case you get hungry at 12 midnight, you can always grab some food there. Support this hotel! It's very worth it! If I can give you 6...
Read moreI went to Venice on my Honeymoon with my husband last week and stayed at Hotel Olimpia. My goodness it was such a dream come true! The hotel is right on a small canal so the view from the room was amazing, the room itself was beautiful and classically romantic which is exactly what I wanted, the staff was always helpful and friendly no matter how many questions we had! We were greeted by Roberto who was so knowledgeable and kind and were helped mostly by Andrea who gave stellar recommendations on where to eat and get a gondola. Stefano and Marta also helped us alot during our stay. They arranged everything for us including a private glass blowing demonstration in Murano and a small group tour via boat along all the canal (which was cheaper than the gondola) it felt like a private boat ride, it was so romantic and beautiful I felt like a movie star my entire stay! I also want to say the bathrooms are very spacious and the cleaning staff is always on top of it refreshing the items you indicate are required (to be eco friendly they had a sign to show how to signal if you want changing towels or bedsheets which is a lovely planet friendly touch!) The location is very convenient if you take the water taxi's or train as it is very close to the stations as well. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, so lovely to have breakfast in when the sun is out. Honestly it was such a dream come true for a honeymoon. They even put some lovely hearts and flower petals on the bed for us when we arrived along with a special surprise. I cannot wait to come back and stay again. Thank you so much to Hotel Olimpia for a...
Read moreAs a guest in this elegant hotel, it was one of the best hotels in the world! There is so many thing to talk about from the staff to the room. As you enter the hotel you will find a solid marble floor that is spick and span to your right you will find a nice hotel employee that can help you check into your room. After you check another staff member in a green suit will guide you to your room. That is when the magic came in place. The room is vast and neat you will find one bedroom and then there is some kind of medieval door that leads you to another bedroom which has two sun roofs but be careful there are plenty of mosquitoes that fly into the room and, when it's raining don’t open it unless you want to flood the entire hotel. The bathroom is very glamorous and spotless, The floors in the bathroom is made of marble and the normal floor is made out of polished wood. Unfortunately the room has different outlets with three little holes if you have a device that doesn’t plug in then bring an adapter or buy one there which is about 12 euros.(Keep in mind that this room is at the top floor The Staff is very nice they say “Good morning” to you every morning. When you are done checking in a staff member will bring all your luggage's up to your room. The lobby is clean and smells like grapefruit or something like that, the back of the hotel is a great scenery for photographers the flowers are scattered everywhere are they are vivid. There is a nice pathway that leads your either in a circle or a different building. That was pretty much my stay I loved this hotel. One more thing, There...
