We have spent the last 2 weeks in Italy and the last 2 days in Venice, and this is by far the worst place we have eaten (including back at home). We originally planned to eat some where else however being a bit early we walked around and found this place and decided to give it a go. The bruschetta was 10.50€ and disgusting. The bun had a powdery texture and there was nothing other than about 15 cherry tomatoes chopped up and thrown on top and garnished with a rocket leaf. I ordered the gnocchi which was clearly reheated from a packet- it was soggy and foul and stuck to the back of my mouth in a dog eating peanut butter type of way. The mushrooms were not cooked and there was no flavour to wash down the uncooked potato. My fiancé ordered a pizza and the base was clearly store bought - not fresh but bland tasting - he described it tasting like cardboard. A big disappointment and let down from all the nice pizzas and pastas we’ve enjoyed since being in Italy.
I ordered a lemonade and he had a coke- which were 5.50€ EACH. As I was sipping on my drink, I noticed in the gelato place next door to the restaurant there was coke and lemonade for 2€.
When the bill came, it costs us 55€. For 2X soft drinks, 1X bruschetta, 1 small pizza and a small gnocchi starter. They added a 12% service fee which I am kicking myself for not challenging as this was the most foul place I have ever eaten and would not have left such a large tip for.
1000% overpriced. 1000% would not eat here again. 1000% not worth it. 1000/10 would...
Read moreWe came here by mistake. And we regret it.
We originally wanted to get a nice fresh Bruschetta at the Restaurant just 5m further down the street but unfortunately mixed it up with this one.
We were able to order immediately - which is when we realised that we were the only guests. This led us to check Google maps again and realising our mistake.
Fortunately we only ordered Bruschetta. Reading the reviews for this place I am glad we ordered something that's very hard to mess up.
The Bruschetta was still a disappointment. Instead of nice Bread this restaurant uses Milk Roll, cut in half as the base for the tomato. No garlic, no oil, no salt. Just plain "bread" and tomato cubes on top.
The milk roll was cut in half and definitely pre toasted a while ago since it was super cold when it was served.
It also looked and tasted extremely dry. The herbs on top were so dry, they actually hurt while eating.
I was missing flavour, texture and was afraid of eating the Arugula since it didn't look fresh anymore.
Please don't make the same mistake and go to any other Restaurant instead.
They added a 10% service fee and a separate 12% mandatory tip to the bill.
We paid 38€ for two Bruschetta and 2 cokes. This is insanely overpriced given the low quality of the food.
I feel bad for everyone unfortunate enough to end up eating here. It's a miracle this Restaurant is still running and not closed permanently given the reviews.

Read moreWow. What a mega disappointment. This place had a good location by the waterside and menu looked ok if not a bit pricey. But we expected that of Venice and as it was our first night and near our hotel, we thought we’d give it a go. How can Italians do bland pizza? Three pizzas and all needed a bucket of salt and pepper to taste of anything and the poor fella in our group who ordered the seafood platter, almost had to take his dentures out to chew through the plate of rubber calamari, with two sardines and 4 prawns. Not pleasant. We asked for tap water for the table alongside our beers and wine and were told no, we needed to buy bottles and an aperol spritz at €14.50 is outrageous - average in Venice is about €6. When the service of 12% was added and I queried it as the waitress had a face like a slapped a+$e and was less than polite, we were told it was to be expected as they were busy. Wow. Really? No apology, just a grumpy waitress and a rude man who took our money.
Do yourself a favour - there are some really amazing eateries in Venice. This is not...
