We stayed in a junior Suite at this hotel in May 2024 after finding and booking through Expedia. We were a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews but decided to go ahead with the reservation based on the hotel’s location and price. |After reading other TripAdvisor comments it became obvious that coffee/ Kettle facilities were not available in the rooms unless requested, following this guidance we emailed in advance requesting a kettle for the room. ||We arrived in Venice at 10 am and the staff at the hotel, kindly allowed us to leave our case with them until our room was available at 3 pm The hotel was easy to find, less than one one-minute walk from St Marks Square. On checking in we were taken to our room by a staff member and were pleasantly surprised by the size and layout of the rooms and to discover we had a canal view with a Juliette balcony, but no kettle. After following this up a couple of times the staff were able to provide a kettle, but with no cups or cutlery in the rooms, we decided to borrow these from the dining room at breakfast in the morning. ||The room was quiet with good double glazing keeping the outside noises out, nicely presented, and typically decorated in Venetian style, however, the only criticism would be the very dated bathroom and lack of hot water at peak times of the day. |Breakfast was served from 7.30 to 10.30 am in a large wooden paneled dining room, overlooking a canal with a great selection of continental breakfast choices, including pastries, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit & cereal, and scrambled eggs and bacon, we also witnessed the staff is very accommodating with a gluten-free guest. ||On checkout, the hotel staff were more than happy for us to leave our luggage in the hotel for the day until we left for the airport but do bear in mind that these cases are not left in a secure room but in a corner of one of the lounges. |I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Venice, its proximity to St Mark’s Square and the waterfront makes it a perfect base for exploring the rest...

Read moreFirst of all this place is NOT a 4 star hotel. It’s more like a 1-2 star Motel at best with dirty ripped furnitures. The only good thing about this establishment is the location. It’s about 50 yards from St.Marks Square. According to the previous positive reviews here, I too thought that my experience would have been better. However, the front desk service is the worst I have ever experienced anywhere and I have traveled to over 90 countries in the world. My girlfriend and I had reserved a suite, but when we see the room they had given us was a room with dirty ripped furnitures I asked the front desk employee Esther about downgrading from the suite to a smaller but more updated room. She gave me a room that was worst than the previous one. I made my disappointment known, by saying I did not expect this level of quality when booking the room. Esther responded “There are many 5 star hotels in Venice, if you were someone of importance you should have stayed in a 5 star hotel.” I never mentioned to her I was important. Even though some of my employees in India and Mexico would consider me important to them. We had a prepaid tour as well, Esther intentionally made us missed our tour by telling us to come down at 2:30pm when the last tour provided by the hotel was at 2pm. I sent an email to management, front desk acknowledge that they received my email, still I have never heard back from them. After speaking to another hotel guest apparently they too were extremely disappointed with their stay and were disgusted by the service. But the Asian cleaning ladies were very nice in terms of staff. In a nutshell, I recommend you to spend an extra 20 euros and stay at the Hilton or a better known hotel brand or AirBNB for peace of mind. The last thing you need is to have your Venice experience ruined by this terrible hotel staff and management. ...
