It Was AWFUL!!! Why you may ask? Let me explainā¦. First of all, we didnāt order an aperol, and they looked really weird at us, but we just didnāt want to drink alcohol. The only options they had for us were water and coke, so we ordered a coke, three sparkling waters and one still water. Not that hard right? Apparently it was, because they brought us the wrong thing, we received a big bottle of still water and a way smaller bottle of sparkling water, so that was really weird, but to make it even weirder, on our bill there was something different, not what we ordered and not what we received, but an even different order. It was unacceptable that they charged us the wrong thing. To make things worse, the staff was really unfriendly, because whenever we said or asked for something, they looked at us like we were aliens, we asked for ice cubes and our server looked at us like he had never heard of ice cubes before and we were asking for the weirdest thing ever. At some point we also wanted to change tables because it was way too hot in the sun, and they told us we couldnāt because we would be in their way too much, they were being very rude and annoying about it. After a while they offered us to change and our new table was right by the entrance, so that didnāt really make sense. And besides all that, the light in the bathroom wasnāt even working, which made going to the bathroom very difficult. Overall this was just a really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt usually care for Aperol, I donāt really like the bitter burnt orange flavour but I have friends who adore Aperol Spritz.
We were drawn to the Terrazza Aperol because of its bright coloured bar and wall of orange Aperol bottles.
As we struggled to decipher the menu, the very hunky waiter with tattoos named Luca took extra special care of us. Asking us what flavours we liked and recommending a drink each for us.
I said that I struggled with the bitter taste, so Luca suggested a Aperol Sour, and made Leslie a special cocktail. These came with olives.
My friend decided she wanted a dessert and chose the Tiramisu. While I wanted the steak and potatoes.
Helpful and lovely Luca, asked if he could move us to a better table so that we would enjoy our meals there as he brought out some bread for us. This was appreciated.
The was the first Tiramisu my friend had tried and she loved it.
My steak arrived and was delicious the portion was small, for its price, which left room for desert.
I ordered a glass of Prosecco to go with my food which was delicious and then ordered a lemon sorbet blended with tequila which was out of this world.
I paid the bill as Luca gave me a big cuddle, and we said we...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA nice, cozy Cafe in a strategic location in Venice. As most restaurants and cafe in Italy, they have table in the terraces. Even though we visited close to new year, they are still available. There was no outdoor heater, but they provide blankets if you feel a bit cold. The foods are great and they are freshly made, especially the seafood. Portion is okay, but not too big. Pasta are fresh and tasty. I ordered the pasta with black squid ink and shrimps. Pasta was really nice, and the shrimps are fresh, good quality, but I didn't know that the Venetian style, the shrimps are not well done, a bit halfway cooked, which is not my preference. But apart from that, other stuff that we ordered are quite good. Plating are nicely done. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will be back again if we visit Venice...
