BUNS — Restaurant in Verona

I decided to give it a try because I kept seeing lots of people (mostly young Italians) every night. What a disappointment! I sat outside and after 5 minutes without anyone coming to take my order, I went in to ask if I had to order inside. Without listening --and language was not an issue because I speak Italian-- the waitress gave my table to a couple that had come in after me and told me to sit inside (where it was quite hot). No explanation given. Just told me to sit at a specific table (same table size but inside). The food is a bit strange. If you are used to burgers, best skip this place. My burger came with a brioche bun rather than a burger bun, which didn´t go very well with the blue cheese and the aioli sauce. This is supposed to be their original burger, but I wonder how it can be popular. The meat could have used a bit more time on the grill. Considering it came up to €18 for a burger and a bottle of water, I would say there are much better places in Verona to eat a proper burger and especially --in a city where the locals are so polite -- with much...

If I could give this place six stars I would. The burgers are excellent and so are the regular fries! I’m not usually one to consume an entire serving of french fries. But, here at BUNS, you cannot help but devour the entire burger and fries. They offer high-quality meats and very flavorful accompaniments to the burger — caramelized onions, local cheeses, incredible bacon, and so much more. Their house wine is very good and pairs well with the burgers. Finally, every single staff was very friendly and hardworking. They were patient with us when ordering in Italian. They didn’t rush to explain some of the ingredients with which we were unfamiliar. They took the time to describe the different burgers and waited patiently for us to order. Our overall experience was amazing. I highly recommend this place!!...

We went in December for lunch, found the table just outside, ordered a burger and a portion of fries each plus gravy and waited 50 minutes to eat, all nice and fine, but the meat was burnt on the edges, we ate what we could. I didn't write a review then because I wanted to give them another chance, now in February, I thought I'd call to make a reservation, also at noon, google schedule: Sunday 12:30-17 19:30-22:30, - I want to book a table for two people at 15:00, - not possible, we close the kitchen at 14:30, - ok, please modify the program on google, - I modified it but it's a google problem. As a result, we didn't go to eat at their place.. because they don't know how to...
