First and foremost, the room was beautiful and comfortable. Tastefully decorated, with quiet air-con, a TV, a table eat breakfast on, etc. Bathroom was nice - slightly small shower with broken door, and the bathroom lock was not functional, although none of these detracted from our stay.||Check-in was speedy and friendly, although I feel that it was a little rushed, with a lot of information crammed in, and there was no indication of how to access the free bike service advertised, or whether/how we could use the laundry room. ||Breakfast was outstanding. Delonghi espresso machine was delightful, my partner doesn’t like espresso but she LOVED this one! Every morning each room is given a basket of fresh croissants and bread, clearly purchased that morning from a good local bakery or similar, very tasty. The fridge is stocked with yoghurts, milk, and juice. Additionally there is hard bread, with jam, honey, cream cheese, etc., alongside packets of sugar and various teas. Really great start to the day!||Bed was very comfortable and the room has a lot of space to move around in. However there was only one plug we could find.||The location is great, just cross the nearest bridge and you’re right near Casa di Giulietta, walk for a few more minutes and you’ll reach the Arena. ||All in all, exceptional stay. Bravo!...
Read moreContext: Stayed here in mid-Feb for a three day solo trip. Paid €110 for two nights.
Pros: very clean and the housekeeper tidied the room every day the host, Monica, was lovely. She provided me with an adaptor and welcomed me to Verona the location: close to the river and a fifteen minute walk to the arena early check in time of 1pm allowed me to explore the city without being overwhelmed by my bags
Cons: despite their advertisement of free WiFi it was not working for the entirety of my stay. As a result, I had to pay extra for more data to keep in touch with loved ones and work it was quite noisy at night and I think at one point someone was either banging on my door or trying to enter my room. As a young solo female traveller, I found it terrifying. the advert promised a continental style buffet but all that was offered was bread and yoghurt in a very old fridge. If you have allergies do not expect to be catered for. I also tried to take advantage of the free bike hire offered online by the hotel, but there seemed to be no such scheme.
Conc: Overall I would give it a 3 stars. It was satisfactory for the price but I don't know if I'd choose to stay...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here for 5 days at the beginning of July. ||We were the first to arrive for the day so we got to choose our room. The rooms are on the small size but we didn't plan on staying in the room for the trip so not an issue. ||Breakfast is kept in your room and breads outside, it was very generous so you won't go hungry. ||Good location, just across the ever from the main area. We were within walking distance to the main attractions. ||If you are going further afield the helpful manager/owner will order you a taxi which comes in minutes. ||The manager/owner - has to be the most kind and helpful person in Verona. Nothing is too much for this lady, she even let us keep our luggage at the B & B and stayed in so we could get it at the end of our trip even though she had plans to go out for the evening.||I can't comment on price because I didn't pay for it but would certainly recommend this cute...
