Feels like a tourist trap to me... The looks of the place seems local, so I'll give the atmosphere 3 stars, but for a foreigner living in Beppu like me, I suggest you eat somewhere else. I got a spicy ramen. The noodles were not so good, the broth was not much but salty, there were bug chunks of vegetables inside but turned out to be pickled ones so it made it saltier, and on top of that, the nori on top is not crispy and already dissolving in the soup. Read moreI have tried about half the dishes on the menu by now. Chashuramen is one I would recommend. Their yakimeshi is amazing too. The atmosphere has an old-warm charm and the seats disposition is original. Not sure how some fail so hard to understand the point of this place. Thinking they made a good point emphasizing the old vibe as if people were paying for that. The food is great, and you’re so full of yourself. The owner couple is very welcoming as well. And they will bring English menu to you without even having to ask for it. Underrated place as per...
