MITSUKOSHI — Local services in Fukuoka

I'd like to make a review about Fukugawa Yuki who was working in the watch department for Grand Seiko. I was there on vacation about two weeks ago near the beginning of November. Even with the language barrier she was very accommodating and understanding. I was there looking at a Grand Seiko Snowflake. I got to try it on and she had recommended me sign up for a mall card to get an additional 5% off. Unfortunately when coming to a decision to purchasing the watch their watch technician found an internal defect or flaw and was unable to sell me the watch which I understood. It also happened to be the last one in stock of course! Regardless, I'd like to mention she has amazing customer service and is very patient and understanding. The next trip out to Fukouka I will visit here again and hope to see Yuki and hopefully purchase my next time piece with her.

It is a really huge department store! Consist of several buildings, make up to the size of a block. Many international well-known luxury brands are represented here. The atmosphere is elegant but a little restraint. It is very proper and not wild and kicky like Parco. I think this may appeal more to the senior age groups with money. Arrived to the Sanrio pop up at 18.58 and was chased out of the pop up store rudely by this elderly staff. Pleaded to enter but was given a nasty look and only a child was allowed to enter. The place is still full of shoppers and it seems we were discriminated against as we are tourist. Totally shocking and unacceptable, first time experiencing this kind of attitude in our multiple trips to Japan which we love...
