This is a 2.5 storey house comprises of 2 bedrooms. It can accommodate 6 people with the other 2 on futon (Japanese’s mattress). The ground floor houses the 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom (Kings bed about 180 cm width) has an attached bathroom with both bathtub and shower separated from the powder room. The toilet is by itself outside the bedrooms. The other room (2 single beds) has an attached smaller shower room. The washing machine is located inside the master bedroom. Washing detergent is provided. The laundry comes out dry and almost ready for wearing. The living room & kitchen is on the 2nd floor. It comes with fridge, stove, microwave oven, thermoflask, kettle, utensils and cutleries for cooking. Kitchen towel, kitchen cloth, sponge and liquid soap for washing cutleries are available. There is another tatami living room on the 2nd floor and on the 3rd floor is an empty attic occupying half the area (my guess is for those sleeping on the futon). The master bedroom and 2nd floor has a balcony overlooking the city and mountains. Great view in winter. It’s a 5-minute walk from the ski lift. The place is quiet & secluded but Chalet Fuyuri provide free shuttle service to or from town back but limited only once a day to one unit and has to be reserved one hour in advance. We usually take the free shuttle bus to town and come back by taxi. We can ask the restaurant or shop counter to help us call a taxi. It cost about ¥1,500-2,000 to town which is about 7-10 minutes. Chalet Fuyuri front desk helped us call a taxi or make restaurant reservations but front desk is closed at 8pm. The place is very clean, room and water are heater working well, water pressure is good, too. It’s a non smoking place. Check in is fast, service is great. They clean up place daily at around 10am and changed the towels. Toiletries and hairdryer is provided. Spacious free car park. The only limitation is the rooms are small and hardly have any space for luggage. The 2nd floor is very spacious though. The washing machine should not be in the bedroom as it could be quite noisy at night especially it takes 4 hours to wash and dry. As the staircase is narrow, it is not a place for wheelchair or old people with difficulty in climbing stairs.||||Overall, it’s a place I highly recommend for a family as it...
Read moreAfter my one night stay in Noboribetsu, I drove to Furano and checked in chalet Fuyuri. I happened to chance upon it in a random search online and read about the good review of this place. The price is very reasonable - cheaper if you have a family of four like me. And I can tell you I enjoyed the place very much.||I booked a 2 bedroom deluxe apartment. On the ground floor, you have one room with two single beds and shower room. The other is a master bedroom of queen size bed with a bathtub and shower room. The toilet is shared so it maybe a bit inconvenience. The rooms are not big and you can drag your luggage’s into the rooms. We end up placing them on the second floor.||The second floor is a big living room and open kitchen. Free wifi and there are many utensils and kitchenware provided if you wish to cook in the house. Washing machines and dryers are also provided on the ground floor. We were so delighted that we washed all our dirty clothes that we wore for the past three days. ||There are balconies on the ground and second floor. My apartment has a very scenic view of the Furano town. I loved the decor of the apartment and layout of the furniture. Good make use of the available space though my wife complained the room is a bit small. ||Most importantly, the service of staff especially Yani is exceptional. Upon reservation, I received a message from her to find out how and what time I would be arriving. She shared with me the map code of the place knowing I was driving. In Japan, we usually use tel phone number to locate GPS but their phone number would lead me to another place. Once I reached there, maybe I was earlier, there was no one at the reception office. But there was a phone to call and within 5 min, Yani and her colleagues arrived and she showed us into the apartment and explained patiently how to use the different amenities and kitchenware. She spoke good English and nicely shared with us some famous restaurants and shopping areas in Furano.||Out of all the places that I visited in Hokkaido, I loved Furano the most, the scenic and countryside settings appeal me most. And I would urge that you can forgo hotels and check yourself into this quiet and charming chalet to spend...
Read moreWe recently arrived at Chalet Fuyuri for a 1 week stay with our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We were very happy with our 2 bed self contained apartment in a small complex with 5 apartments in total. Very clean and spacious with all the thing you need. The beds were comfortable and there was excellent heating. Two seperate bathrooms and in-unit washer/dryer. The kitchen was small but had all the things you need to self cater. Daily cleaning service and wifi was a bonus. The views were amazing and the location was so close to the gondola (only a few minutes stroll away). The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered free shuttle service to JR station. Excellent value for money. ||Furano ski resort was excellent for skiing, big wide runs and variety for all. Ski hire options were great (suggest to pre-book at busy times). Lockers available at the gondola so you don’t have to carry your gear around. The restaurant options are not vast, but the Furano township and grocery stores are only 1.5km from the accomodation.||Only downside was no access to smart TV so can’t access English speaking channels- or own Netflix account. ||We would highly recommend and...
