Recently renovated (apparently Dec 2024), this is a fabulous place to stay. Itâs relatively small size affords an intimate atmosphere but it is large enough to still offer the facilities of larger more commercial hotels. The rooms are exceptionally well appointed (sore bodies appreciated the comfy beds) & the downstairs equipment storage room is well designed. The downstairs bar / second floor lounge area are all class, featuring funky furniture, a great playlist, board games, live music, a relaxed welcoming vibe, cold beer & great cocktails. We particularly appreciated the friendly & welcoming approach of Nideesh (from India) and Shobi (from Korea / Japan) who both took the time to engage & share with us, and always prepared to go out out of their way to help or provide helpful tips on local attractions & services. The hotel is well situated immediately adjacent to the bus terminal which makes it easy to access the shuttle buses to all the slopes. Variety of food options are very limited in terms of dietary requirements (Gluten free / anaphylactic) are not particularly well catered for (staff not necessarily knowledgeable of cross contamination...

Read moreThe Evo hotel was well located right next to the bus terminal so it made it really easy to walk in our ski gear to get to the lifts. The rooms were stylish, well designed, functional and so nice to have ample space to hang our clothes and unpack our luggage. The drying room and having the ability to securely lock up all of your gear was a great feature. The hotel was funky, really stylish and well designed. Overall the hotel was excellent. ||What let it down was the staff. Having travelled through Japan and received exceptional service, this was a let down. Not once, but twice we were stranded when the courtesy bus did not collect us without being notified. It felt like we were interrupting the staff on their ski holiday (with the exception of Denish who was excellent). For some, this would be fine as a party hotel, but I want an early night to get out on the slopes, not getting woken at all hours of the night with people coming back drunk...
