Halelea — Restaurant in Hiroshima

Honestly the best hamburg I’ve eaten in Japan thus far. Walked past this place on my way to my hotel and was intrigued by their board outside their restaurant. Popped by for lunch and I was blown away! A very cozy and small restaurant run by a lovely couple, husband in the kitchen and wife in the front. Easy ordering system, order at the machine near the door, get your ticket and pass it to them. They’ll ask which sauce you’d like, the demi-glace or onion sauce. Have a seat and enjoy your meal~ The hamburg with demi-glace sauce was the juiciest and most memorable meal I’ve had this year in Japan. My wife and myself came here last night and tonight for something to eat. Last night we both had the beef box set and tonight I had the curry set and my wife had the beef set again. We both have to say that the food is absolutely amazing, it's the best food we have had in Japan, the host is super friendly and the whole place is immaculate. All done by one guy!! If we were staying in Hiroshima any longer we would eat here every night! We would both highly recommend this place as a must for people staying in Hiroshima. Superb...

This delicious meal was a major highlight of our trip to Japan. I can't believe how inexpensive it was considering the amazing quality... cost under 3,000Yen for two meals that would have been at least 4x that at home (Canada). I got the beef curry and my lady got the skirt steak. If we weren't leaving tomorrow morning we'd be back for lunch! The owner is very friendly and working so hard doing everything himself.
