Bakudanya — Restaurant in Hiroshima

Bakudanya is located on the bottom floor of Hiroshima Station Building. I arrived on a Friday at about 2:30pm and got a seat right away. This restaurant specialises in tsukemen which is dry noodles that you dip in a spicy sauce. You can choose how spicy the sauce is. I got a 4x spice and it was a little bit spicy, my friend who likes spice chose 10x and he said it was a good amount of spicy. It was hot outside and so we both got cold noodles which really hit the spot. The place also gives you bibs if you want to use them. I would definitely recommend trying this place as it is something different to try...

The food was so flavorful and delicious. I had the hot miso-flavored noodles with 10 scoops of the spicy sauce. It was comfortably spicy. If you like spicy food, you could easily add more. I also had the fried chicken, which was delicious alone or dipped in the spicy noodle sauce. The service was very good. There is an English menu, but the outside sign is only in Japanese so check the pictures people have posted here to know which restaurant to look for. (Also Don Quijote across the street has great prices on snacks like kit kats if you want something sweet...

We all got the tsukesoba. It was average, flavor could have been stronger. The biggest problem was that the chashu was terrible and it smelled/tasted like it was off and almost spoilt. Also half of our group got cold noodles while the others got hot noodles, so we think we might have gotten a batch of old pre cooked noodles. Overall don't recommend. Karaage was really...
