This hostel has a great location, very close to the station and close to many shops, temples, and parks. Everything is just a few minutes away on one of the free rental bikes. The staff is amazingly lovely and very friendly. I had some great times getting to know them. The rooms are very clean and well organized. The bathrooms and showers were spotless and the shared sink area was cm always clean as well. The common room is always a good time (especially after 9pm we the Umeshu comes into play) and you get many opputunities to mingle with some great people. The kitchen area is small but well equipped to cook almost anything you need. The staff were also very helpful in terms of getting information for trains, shops, and other locations. Overall a fanatic place t spend some time in Kanazawa. Maybe you'll even get to do...
Read moreGreat place to stay if you are a solo traveller and want to meet up with other travellers. I enjoyed my 2 night stay very much. The staff was very hospital, easy to talk to and provided great help when in needed. I had the chance to meet with other Japanese travellers (and of course other foreign travellers) and ended visiting some place with one of them on my 2nd day there, I also had free plum wine after 9PM on the 1st night and mingle around chit chatting with everyone, it was really fun and relaxing to wind down after a tired day from travelling. Thank you Yuhei & Aiya!! ^^ Highly recommend if you like the easy going & friendly atmosphere, however it might be a bit on the noisy side in case you prefer a more quiet place to stay. The location is perfect just 4 mins walk from...
Read moreIt's a nice and cozy hostel, with I believe 3 or 4 private rooms (but still shared bath/shower) and 2 dorm rooms, one female only with 6 beds and a mixed room with 8 beds. If it was full there might be a bit of wait with only 2 showers total, but for the price paid there really can be no complaint. The fact that it's a small hostel and there's free plum wine every night at 9pm helps to get some conversation going. There were also plenty of japanese booking this place, I would say about half foreigner half japanese for the 3 nights I...
