We stayed in the female only dorms for 3 nights. ||The hostel is less than 2 minutes walk from the station, on the third floor of the Live 1 building. There are no elevators, but there was a sign saying the staff can help with the bags. Check-in is available from 10, and was very easy, quick and with a friendly staff member. Rooms are available from the afternoon as they're cleaned during the mornings, but you can leave your bags in the rack next to the check-in, and bike locks are available to secure your stuff.||The general aesthetic and layout of the hostel was wonderful. It's quiet, well lit and both the staff and the other guests were nice. Tables face the windows so you can enjoy the view while you eat/work. There's a small table and a couch in front of check-in as well. ||The female dorm is lovely. The beds are spacious, with a locker at the head and a little space at the feet to leave your bags/clothes, and a hanger and a rack too. Curtains aren't that sound/light proof, but the dorm is kept dark as there are no windows (communal space has nice big windows though) which made sleeping easy. There's also a little note in each bed that advise guess to turn their reading lights off after 10:30, not to use dryer at night etc...which really encouraged thinking about the other guests and making everyone's stay more comfortable. ||The showers are clean, with body soap, shampoo and conditioner provided, and there's also a really nice cleanser and moisturiser! You can grab one fresh towel each day for free too.||Would definitely recommend this place, and definitely coming back here! Thanks for providing such...
Read moreBlue Hour is a nice, comfortable modern hostel about a 5 minute walk from the train station.||Honestly it had some of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on in Japan and my larger trip. The beds are pods too with a privacy curtain, light and mirror inside. The privacy you get is so nice.||The female dorm also has a small seating area just for its guests and a small fridge for breakfast. The female dorm is also key code locked and has its own bathroom. The small grocery store in the building is a great feature too.||I was here in summer and have a few items to be aware of:||- There is Air Con in the dorms but it doesn’t get in to the bed pods so those can be toasty||- The air con in the female area also isn’t very strong but it’s not too bad ||- Great WiFi speed ||- No laundry but laundromat nearby||- This is on the third floor and there is NO lift. So the walk up with luggage is hot||My only issues were that staff didn’t speak much English and gave misinformation about how to get around the city. Just go to the train station and get help there. I also had an issue with my bed but staff took care of it the next day at my request. ||One last thing, the dorm area can be loud, especially with suitcases knocking around and people coming in/out of the locked door.||Overall, I would stay again and recommend it for a...
