Had dinner at this place today as tourist without booking. Ordered a 6 to 7 plates menu (chef's recommendation) and well what can I say, the worst food experience I had in Japan so far. Overcooked fish (seabream), I could cook that better than they did. Everything was so mediocre and just not comparable to what I saw in all other places I ate. Not sure they can serve the same to local customers as I cannot imagine they will come back if they did. Anyway to make it short, as tourist do not waste your time to go there for dinner, so many better options...
Read more4 of us dined here and the food was fantastic. We ordered the sashimi plates and every piece was super fresh and tasty. We also ordered the perch black throat fish and it was tender and yummy. We ordered the crab and it was good. Not super amazing like the other dishes but it was good. Jibuni was lean and perfectly seasoned. We had a quarter of a grilled nodoguro even though it was expensive. It was lightly seasoned with crispy skin and flaky juicy flesh. Local kaga vegetable tempura was also delicious. We devoured every morsel. Nodoguro was off season in December so we look forward to come back again next year to savour it in a kaiseki...
