Stayed here 2 nights. Kids loved the bunk beds and the layout of the room was very efficient - with the mini kitchenette, roomy living / eating area, and washing machine (thank you for the detergent capsules!). Checking in was easy as there was 1 staff on hand to help. The breakfast sandwiches / muesli were also yummy and we could eat at the hotel lobby or bring it back to our room. Would have been better if there had been more hotel umbrellas to loan to guests - it rained all the days we were there.||The design and lighting made the room feel very chic and modern. My 8yo said this was her favourite hotel during our trip to Kyushu.||We parked our car for 2 nights at the public car park next door and it cost us JPY1500. We mostly took (nearest stop is about 10 minutes walk away) buses and trams while...

The room is huge by Japanese standards and well-equipped. Where in the world can you find 2 x QUEEN beds in a standard hotel room? This was a huge factor for us choosing FAV Hotel. The washing machine was a godsend for our Kyushu trip and there is a laundromat within 100m of the hotel to dry our washed clothes. ...
Read moreWhat I like most about family travel is that there is a washing machine in the room. I can put it in the bathroom and use it in the hot room mode to dry all the clothes in one night. The kitchen also has a microwave and tableware including knives, which is very convenient for eating fruit. Although garbage will be collected and towels will be changed, please note that there is no room cleaning service (additional fees are required). In addition, geographically it is most convenient to get to Kumamoto Sakuracho Bus Station, which is more than ten minutes away. There are buses there to Aso and other long-distance attractions. You can also walk to Kumamoto Castle. Breakfast is light and there is a...
