We had a wonderful dinner. My husband ordered the special with sashimi, horse meat, pork and others. The portion control was superb, so he had his fill but didn't feel too stuffed. I liked my stewed pork set as well, with salads, miso soup, and rice free refills. So good. Highly recommended.

【悲報！】 令和7年6月18日(水)を以てお昼のランチは終了し、夜のディナーのみになるそうな(ToT) 梅雨入りして雨足が強かった事もあったが、13時過ぎに入店してお客さんが少ない事は気になったが… お昼の客数が損益分岐点にまで達しないのかなぁ～ 今日のランチもボリュームがあり大満足だったが、熊本のガッツリ系男子は何故行かないのだろう？駐車場もあれだけ広いのに… 単なる告知不足か？ 尤も、オジサンは熊本を去るので関係ないっちゃあ関係ないけどねぇ、寂しいねぇ～ 平日のランチタイムに訪問。 ビジネスマン風の方やご近所の年配の方等で客席は4割ほどが埋っていた。 こちらのお店は、ごはん、お味噌汁、野菜サラダ、お漬物の他、この日は切り干し大根の煮物と熊本名物『だご汁』と思われる汁物もお替り自由と大変良心的。 伺った日のサービスランチは酢豚だったのでそれをオーダー。 店員さんが酢豚を盛ったお皿だけを持って来てくれて、ごはんその他は自分でよそって食べるというシステム。 酢豚の味もさることながら、熊本県内米らしいご飯が大変美味しかった。ここまでなら☆5つなのだが…。 原材料費高騰で11月1日より価格変更が行なわれのは仕方ないとして、その価格が『902円』。誰もが違和感を感じるのか、精算をする男性客が2円の質問をしていた。店員さんは『オーナーからそう言われていますので、私達はそうするしかないのです』と答えていて気の毒になった。現金で支払うお客の小銭の準備も店側のお釣りの準備も面倒だろう。 そのオーナーの感性に☆マイナス1。 メニュー表にある定食は全てお替り自由なので、ガッツリ系の人はぜひ行って欲しい。

Nice small restaurant to go if U are staying at hotel Lohas. The food presentation is good!!! Must try is horse teppanyaki. The chef tries to strike a conversation with me despite not knowing much English.

Its a little bit on the pricey side but its rlly worth it. I ordered 2 sets and 3 small sides (not v small). The sets abt 5 kinds of sides (like sashimi, miso soup, dessert) but they are the size of normal portions. All the sashimi, horse meat and other dishes were very lovely and fresh. The chef is also very nice to attend to us from time to time and he tries to explain the different sauces to use even though he was not very familiar w english. Btw if you want a gauge, for 3 people my family shared 2 sets and 3 side dishes but we were extremely full after that so it is recommended to do 2 sets for 3. One set cost about...

Big eater, ate well, drank well. The only bad thing was not being able to eat everything between and "rolling" out of the izakaya. Bill came out to under ¥9000 per person (3 people), about $60, way too cheap for the quality of food. MUST GO TO PLACE WHILE...
