草津温泉326 山の湯ホテル — Hotel in Kusatsu

I love hot spring bathing and Kusatsu Onsen is one of the best known hot spring towns in Japan. There are all kinds of accommodations to be had, of course, but I wanted something simple and inexpensive, with a Western style breakfast. (I've been travelling for two months and needed a break from Japanese breakfast). This place was great. It is an easy walk from the bus terminal and only 2-3 minutes from the Yubatake (the hot spring source) and town center. My bed was super comfortable, the hot spring bath is roomy, and my cooked breakfast (egg, ham, croissant, soup, salad, fruit, and coffee) was lovely. All for less than 8000...

I’ve been here for one night. The location is perfect (2mn from Yubatake). The room is very clean and comfortable (I slept like a baby) and the staff is very very nice.
