We stayed only 1 night at this new boutique hotel, do highly recommend unless have 2 nights! ||||This hotel is just in front of Yubatake which are famous hot spring at Kusatsu-onsen, entrance is small and difficult to manage found the hotel but this hotel is just next 1 of foods souvenir shop " 中吉堂本铺“ so much easy to you to get the hotel entrance.||||The hotel is difficult to communicate by English as the hotel staff only limited English can communicate, so I do advise that remember bring any can be do translate if you need help. I booked the hotel by their website, but due to all Japanese words, so I just use the English translate, you will get good price comparing by any travelling company! but you need to accept that they won't reply any email to you because they even don't how to reply and understand what your message too. Just remember print out the confirmation from once you book by their website.||||Hotel is new, so is really clean especially in japan. you need to take off your shoe and keep in the cabinet with lock as well which provided by hotel. room is clean and comfort and with only toilet but without shower area, if you need to have a bath, you need to go down to try their indoor onsen which located opposite reception area. please note that this is the public shower area which are separated men and women area, the shower room have a small chair to sit for you do shower yourself with provide all shampoo and small mirror, and can straight to enjoy the onsen pool but have to naked to facing each others!! Is good experience for you to 1st try the Japanese traditional life! don't be shame, because the hotel most is local people and they wont be surprise that naked during onsen!||||Infront of reception area, you can also enjoy the foot spa onsen or else you can find that have yubate too! is free of charges!||||The room rate is included with breakfast only JPY 9000 yen per night, is really reasonable price comparing the others resort/hotel,. Breakfast is very basic which come with bread, coffee, soup, boil egg n etc..||||At Yubate, you must try their famous hot spring-Onsen! Saino Kawara Large open-air bath is highly recommend! top 3 largest onsen in Japan! Is really amazing and good experience with very satisfied too! the onsen is separate with men and women, only JPY 500 each person. The big pool is directly facing the natural environment! worth to go and your won't be regret! according some information from internet, tattoo is not allow, but you no worry , because at Saino Kawara are allow even you have tattoo :)||||We have a very good time during at Kusatsu-onsen, we sure will come back again in future!! fall in love...

Spent a night here in one of their rooms with private outdoor bath. The water quality was very good. Location is prime - right by the yubatake and across the famous onsen water show. Entrance is easy to miss - small alleyway with a narrow path that lead to a smaller and quieter foot bath by the reception.

The facilities are a bit dated and you can pick up people walking and chatting outside your room fairly easily. This is expected due to the wooden structure of the building. Be ware of that if you are a light sleeper.

Private outdoor bath was great with average view. Water temp was perfect and I had a great rest.

Breakfast was provided with limited western selections. I am ok with that, not a big eater in the morning anyways. Checkout time was 10am, rather than the most common 11am for other hotels. Overall I am happy with the stay but for 41000 yen room rate, I would most likely opt for a regular...

The room was clean and very spacious with a really comfortable bed. The location is excellent as the hotel is right in the center of town opposite the yubatake. It was nice to put on a yukata and take a walk around in the evening. The breakfast was really quite good with a decent choice. The water in the bath was nice quality, but the bath itself was quite small. It would be nicer if there were more towels in the room. Admittedly I was a single traveler but there was only a single bath towel and face towel.

Right in front of yubatake. We had a very nice room with private onsen. Breakfast was basic unlike the big onsen hotel. Staff initially seem unfriendly but realised it all due to language barrier. After a while they were super friendly and even booked a cab for me to bus terminal as my mom had difficulty walking up slope. They made sure we boarded the cab. Love to stay here again.
