The hotel is well located, about two minutes from the central square area of Yubatake, maybe 5 minutes from the main highway bus terminal, and 5 minutes from Jizo Onsen.

Service was excellent, and they went out of their way to make sure the room was as dust-free as possible when they knew I had asthma. The room had many wall sockets, a mini fridge, a kettle and mugs for a morning tea. They also had free hot coffee in the mornings in the lobby. They provided a rental yukata and a haori for free for a more enjoyable onsen-hopping adventure, but in the November weather, the yukata was way too thin for the nights.

Having said all that, when I went, they did not have a working public bath within the hotel, and the showers are quite small, but you get what you paid for. There are bigger rooms in other hotels, but they’re naturally more expensive. Not a problem, though, as I went around the town to try all the different hot springs that were available.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely...

We are staying here for two nights. The location is close to the bus station at the town centre and the Yubatake (湯畑, or "hot water field") which is the symbol of Kusatsu and one of the resort's main sources of hot spring water. It is also not far away from Sainokawara park which is another beautiful place.

The room is clean and quite spacious compared to our previous stop near Yokohama Kannai Station. There is a bath tub in the toilet. There is a lift near our room. I was delighted to find a small basket in the room with towels for us to go to Onsen.

In the morning there is free coffee from 7am - 10am. At the lobby area, there is a book shelf with magazines (e.g. National Geographic) and books for the guests. There is also a microwave oven for you to heat up your bento. 7-eleven is not far away where you can buy bento. The staffs are very friendly and are always ready to help.

Kusatsu Onsen area is very cold here. I heard the current temperature is -3...

This hotel was a wonderful spot! the room was large and clean and had every amenity. There is also a private onsen you can use on site and the hotel provides yukata and haori to wear to and from as well as towels. The location is right next to the main kusatsu onsen attraction area and a short walk to sainokawara open air onsen. The employees are very attentive and DC especially went out of his way to help us when we were left unable to find a way to make our connecting trains due to limited transportation times to and from this smaller town. We will be using the hotel again when we return to Kusatsu in the future.

I also want to mention other negative reviews which complain that the hotel has you take yours shoes off at the entrance... This is a hotel in Japan. It is a local custom and for someone to complain about it is ridiculous. if anything it ensures the hotel remains clean...

Clean, quiet, close to the Bus Terminal and to the central area, 1 min walk from 2 hot springs, very convenient location with free parking lot. Room was very clean and there is a microwave near the lobby. The owner is super nice, helpful and other staffs are also very kindly. Free good quality coffee in the morning in the lobby, drip coffee and green tea in the room along with other amenities. Towels, “yukata” (informal kimono) with small blanket and bag for each guest are available in the room for use in the hot springs and strolls in this amazing town. I spent 2 nights there and on the last night, the owner gave a bag with bread, yogurt and juice for breakfast! So kindly! I definitely will stay again in my next trip to Kusatsu.
