Thanks for the wonderful three-day experience! Graveyard View Deluxe If you love starting your day with the peaceful sight of tombstones, this place is perfect for you! Just open the curtains and—voilà!—you get an exclusive graveyard view. The sound of people praying nearby? That’s the bonus feature I didn’t know I needed. I asked the front desk if I could change rooms, but apparently, the place was “fully booked.” If this little detail had been mentioned on the booking page, I probably would’ve gone with one of the many other options available at the same price. Fridge Situation What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. No surprises here—and honestly, this was the least of my worries. Luggage Storage Logic Here’s the fun part: they lock up luggage for check-in guests but tell check-out guests to just leave their bags in the lobby. Check-out is at 11, and they told me to come back “in about an hour” to pick it up. Oh, and they kindly suggested I use the Kyoto Station coin lockers instead. Thanks for the travel tip! By the way, I checked out on the morning of October 7, and I must say—the female staff member was so nice I almost thought she...
Read moreThe hotel is located in a quiet part of Kyoto which may not be for everyone but we preferred the quiet. Regardless, it is still located close to public transportation, local restaurants & convenience stores.
The hotel is a 9 min walk to Kyoto Station or a 2 min walk to the Karasuma Subway Line which also takes you to & from the Kyoto Station.
The rooms are huge with plenty of space to move around. The hotel has a great communal area on the 1st floor with plenty of seating, power outlets, and a bar. You can even borrow books, which is a nice touch.
Staff were friendly, helpful and speak enough English to be conversational.
There’s only one coin-operated washer and dryer which is shared between all hotel guests. There’s no coin change machine either but there’s a vending machine that will dispense change if needed.
The hotel receives luggage deliveries from other hotels but doesn’t offer luggage delivery services themselves. However, there’s a 7-Eleven across the street that does, and hotel staff are happy to help with filling out the waybill...

There's a nice lady who served and explained the checkin process thoroughly. I completed the checkin in 5 minutes.
It is such a cozy space to chill at the lobby, reasonably priced. People who value peace and quiet will appreciate this hotel. The room also comes with a bathtub!
The place is locked after 10pm so only guest with card can tap in so don't forget the card unless you want to spend the night outside.
The only bad thing I can nitpick is that it is generally far from the main attraction. It is near the kyoto station but you gonna take bus to the temples and Gion area.
Other than that it is a superb place. Definitely...
