Yunke Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Kyoto

We went to this restaurant as we stayed in the hotel opposite. The all female service staff was delightfully welcoming although communication was hardly possible. The menu is in Japanses only, but with photos and some trust, we ordered a nice meal. They kept bringing us plates with varied vegetables as starters (at least we thought they were starters and no one tried to hold us back) and the main course was pork belly (thick bacon) that we fried/grilled on a hot metal plate, to be eaten wrapped in salad with garlic and a red sauce. 私たちはサムギョプサルの食べ放題セットを注文しました。正直に言うと、料理自体は普通か、むしろ良くなかったです。 しかし、一番不快だったのは年配のショートヘアの女性スタッフの態度です。彼女は私の質問を最後まで聞かず、答えもしないでそのまま背を向けて行ってしまいました。本当にショックでした。彼女は日本人ではないように見えました。

もし食事をしながら嫌な気持ちになりたいなら別ですが、普通はお腹いっぱいになっても不愉快さを持ち帰るだけです。さらに、制限時間が終わることについても彼女から一言もありませんでした。

韓国の接客態度が悪いとは聞いていましたが、ここまでひどいとは思いませんでした。そのショートヘアの女性スタッフに対しては、本気で「お客様に対する敬意がなさすぎる」と言いたくなりました。 正直、この店はおすすめしません。

We ordered the grilled pork belly buffet set. Honestly, the food was mediocre at best, if not bad. But what really upset me was the attitude of the short-haired older female staff member. She didn’t even listen to my full question before turning away without answering. I was honestly shocked. She didn’t seem Japanese.

If you want to eat while getting annoyed, this might be the place. Otherwise, you’ll just leave full but frustrated. To make matters worse, she never informed us when the time limit was over.

I’ve heard that service in Korea can sometimes be rude, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. With this particular staff member, I genuinely felt like arguing about her complete lack of respect for customers. I honestly cannot recommend...
